Worse than pathetic, it is embarrassing. Hope it loses so he is finally exposed as the fraud he is. Like big fat mac when he said zenyatta couldn't beat the boys.

What can faugheen do,it's time in the Neptune was 21 seconds faster than the new one,has smashed blue heron who hammered Irving next time out,it had ruby patting its back for the last furlong when hammering everything at punchestown !

You get complacent then you will get caught out. He will be up against horses that have done it before on the biggest stage. Timings mean **** all up that hill mate. Heard it and seen it so many times before

The New One has beaten supposed monster Pont Alexandre, former Champion hurdle winner Rock On Ruby , Zarkandar, My Tent Or Yoursand dual champion Hurricane Fly .
Faugheen has beaten Purple Bay, Blue Fashion, Valseur Lido, Ballyalton and The Job Is Right.

Geoff, like just about everyone on here knows, Faugheen could easily win the Champion Hurdle but when you get fools like Chapman saying he is a cert it is beyond belief. I noticed how later on the Sunday forum he said how he thought Briar Hill was a cert last year, wonder if was as big a cert as Faugheen is for this week.

Fair enough fidway, just think last year's form don't stack up to much, mtoy stuffed at ayr,tno scraping home at Aintree, and articfire who was 2nd in the county running right beside hurricane fly and jezki, btw, jezki paid for my week last year, can't see it getting within 2 lengths of faugheen !

I think he's very good and I do think he will reverse the form against Hurricane Fly on Tuesday. That said, I think you make a case for saying that both the second and the third in last year's race might have been him in other circumstances. He has never produced a breathtakingly impressive display whereas Faugheen has on several occasions.

ETID 08 Mar 15 13:36 Istabraq smashed the field repeatedly at Cheltenham pal. That is good enough for me. Until I see another do that then I will remain cynical.
See you then did it 3 years in a row in the champion hurdle... without a run in between if I remember correctly

Chapman in the paper yesterday saying how he was praying Faugheen would win seeing as he's 'stuck his neck out' regarding the horse. Ffs you'd swear it was a 20/1 shot.

i remember chapman coming out with the comment..."well he wont be winning a golp cup" after a certain horse had been well beaten in ireland in december
a few weeks later war of attrition proved him WRONG

He has put nothing on the line, unlike ruby who has staked his reputation on this really. Chapman just jumping on the bandwagon with faugheen, it is hardly a groundbreaking opinion.

Because as I've said in an earlier post knowing Chapman he'll actually believe the horse winning will be partly due to him. He'll actually believe that.

no one knows how good faugheen is..........its a pure guess.........he has to improve on what he has done so far but thats not impossible ......is he an evens shot ...probably not.......can he win...yes........but betting horses with question marks like him will put you in the work house long term.....personally i am not betting in the race but i am doing a placepot.......i will probably put jezki and the new one.........think i will be very unlucky not to get a place

Chapman believes he is treated seriously, when he is a clown. And if faugheen loses he will do his usual when one of his big hurdle naps doesn't come in..suggest to the owner that it should go chasing. He does that everytime without fail.

Comparing a 3 time champion hurdler to faugheen is an absolute joke, even if he wins on Tuesday you still can't compare them.... Mabye one day he will achieve or even out-do what istabraq done, but we're not even remotely close at the moment.....

He just thinks it will hose up. I have no problem with him making that statement as a lot of people will concur. Why don't we just all post who we think will win the race and then we can see who's judgement has proven correct

Alleged,we ain't gonna fall out again are we lol, fair enough maybe the time thing was a stupid comment by myself but faugheen has beat good horses out of site,do you think jezki or the new one would do that to blue her on,or do that to the field faugheen beat at punchestown, cos I don't,all the bookies must be wrong and all the people on the exchanges must be wrong aswell.

A 5/4 winner is a 5/4 winner. If he thinks it will hose up then in his opinion it's outstanding value. Others may disagree and are not forced to back it.

Faugheen will win the champion hurdle. Simple as that. I believe he is an exceptional talent and i know a good horse when i see one. Its very rear that get carried away with a horse until its beat Grade A opposition but i'll take that chance with Faugheen.

Try my best, I think you miss the point. It is not his opinion, it is the fact he is a complete and utter egotistical James hunt which is the principal objection

try my best....... i am only doing the placepot as reguards this race so i hope he is out of the frame..........probably wont happen...i do think there is a possible lack of pace in this race.........apart from the fav i dont see a pace angle.........cant see kitten rock making the running so ruby could get a freebie out in front

Difference is others in expressing their opinions are endeavouring to show some respect to the other runners and to the track, unlike tango **** who seems to think ruby will already have his feet up while the others are clearing the last. It just won't happen that way.

anyone remember when he got down on his knees and begged Ruby to ride Faugheen and then ruby kicked him.....
to be fair to him today he was discussing the Champion with two people who were pretty easy to wind up.

Faugheen leading by 2 from TNO approaching the last fine jump at the last and steadily draws away to win by 5 from TNO and Vaniteux staying on at the one pace 3 rd. There u have it. 1-2-3.

Just watching the forum now and Chapman is winding them up. What I will say about Chapman is that he seems the only one on horseracing who shows his passion whether he be right or wrong and so much better than most.

He`s a bit like the Heavyweight boxer stirring things up before the event and creating more interest, opinions and arguments on the race, as this thread proves.
Love him or hate him, he is a character and Racing needs more publicists (or bawheids) like him to make the sport more exciting.

There is only one horse likely to improve his rating in the Champion Hurdle and that is Faugheen. He only has 7 hurdle races under his saddle and he is rated 168 on OR and 182p by Timeform.
Is there anything in the Champion Hurdle that will halt the progression? or are you doubters expecting one of the more established horses to improve again after seemingly hitting their peak/ perhaps even on the decline already?
The ratings seem tight with top 4 but which one seems more probable to improve it`s mark?

Myself, am very happy with my Jezki to be placed in the 3 at 1.94 rather than Faugheen to win at 2.2
Faugheen may very well win, I simply cannot envisage a scenario where Jezki is not in the first 3.
Good luck all, let's just hope they all come back safe and with a clean trip for no excuses.

Believe the ground will decide: The New One - seems to go on ground but makes too many mistakes. Hurricane Fly - sadly ground gone against him. Faugheen - won on good at Cheltenham last year but mainly likes soft. Jetzki - loves this ground. On the above and value bet it has to be Jetzki.

Sorry Royston buts its The New One for me, the sight of him murdering the hill last year is still fresh in the memory, and I dont think he has regressed since then. The only horse that I believe MIGHT finish in front of him is the jolly, but he will have to be every bit as good as they say he is, and at 5/4 I wouldnt be lumping on. Opinions eh?

Make A Stand was probably the most fluent hurdler you will ever see but he won in a very weak CH era, this is a stronger era and Faugheen must be a stone above Make A Stand but i see the similarity in stretching the field from out in front.

Jesus christ. Just be happy that you have backed the winner at big prices. He said it would win and it has. A lot on here crabbing times and making case for Jezki and the others. If it had lost you would have been all over him like a rash

So what, the tango faced **** napped up an odds on shot and managed to disrespect all the other horses in doing so, as well as humiliating himself by kissing ruby 's shoes.

So has faugheen beat anything now,or has it still "beat nowt",this horse can be as good as istabraq,at least Chapman does stick his neck out,I know he is a bit of a prat but half of it is taking the Piss, yeeeaaaha

faugheen for me on day too short-some stats were against it so at the price even though i did fancy it there was no play for me well done anyone on a price..... but take faugheen out some of the others were so poor in my opinion the new one not to even place was certainly a shock to me,but being so prominent early in race dont think helped just maybe the new one is just not that good......
