Chapman believes he is treated seriously, when he is a clown. And if faugheen loses he will do his usual when one of his big hurdle naps doesn't come in..suggest to the owner that it should go chasing. He does that everytime without fail.
By:
Comparing a 3 time champion hurdler to faugheen is an absolute joke, even if he wins on Tuesday you still can't compare them.... Mabye one day he will achieve or even out-do what istabraq done, but we're not even remotely close at the moment.....
By:
He just thinks it will hose up. I have no problem with him making that statement as a lot of people will concur. Why don't we just all post who we think will win the race and then we can see who's judgement has proven correct
By:
Alleged,we ain't gonna fall out again are we lol, fair enough maybe the time thing was a stupid comment by myself but faugheen has beat good horses out of site,do you think jezki or the new one would do that to blue her on,or do that to the field faugheen beat at punchestown, cos I don't,all the bookies must be wrong and all the people on the exchanges must be wrong aswell.
By:
try my best........when they told him betting is all about prices he looked at them if they both had 2 heads.......think that sums the guy up
By:
A 5/4 winner is a 5/4 winner. If he thinks it will hose up then in his opinion it's outstanding value. Others may disagree and are not forced to back it.
By:
Faugheen will win the champion hurdle. Simple as that. I believe he is an exceptional talent and i know a good horse when i see one. Its very rear that get carried away with a horse until its beat Grade A opposition but i'll take that chance with Faugheen.
By:
Try my best, I think you miss the point. It is not his opinion, it is the fact he is a complete and utter egotistical James hunt which is the principal objection
By:
try my best.......if you think 5\4 is a good price then thats fair enough..........myself i think he is a 2\1 shot but its all about opinion
By:
Would rather watch him than the dire bunch that occupy our screens on channel 4. By the way what do you think will win the champion?
By:
I didn't say if I thought 5/4 was good or bad price Cardiff
By:
if youve backed it at 5\4 i presume youre happy with that price??
By:
try my best.......wouldnt surprise me if it won by 5l or finished 4th
By:
Have not played in the race cardiff.
By:
try my best........i suspect youve backed or are going to back UDS??
By:
I like jezki, I think he will have some pace to run at
By:
try my best....... i am only doing the placepot as reguards this race so i hope he is out of the frame..........probably wont happen...i do think there is a possible lack of pace in this race.........apart from the fav i dont see a pace angle.........cant see kitten rock making the running so ruby could get a freebie out in front
By:
No bet in the Arkle either. I would like to know what people think will win the champion who have posted on this thread.
By:
Well done ETID and Cardiff for posting their opinion
By:
I backed Faugheen at 9/2 months ago. I wouldn't be backing it at current odds though. Jezki looks without doubt the safe ew bet.
By:
ive given mine.......i have said that i am doing jezki and the new one in a placepot.........no bet in the race
By:
keep the selections coming boys and girls. Look forward to the post race comments on here.
By:
Difference is others in expressing their opinions are endeavouring to show some respect to the other runners and to the track, unlike tango **** who seems to think ruby will already have his feet up while the others are clearing the last. It just won't happen that way.
By:
think you would be stupid to say faugheen cant win but its just as stupid to say hes past the post
By:
anyone remember when he got down on his knees and begged Ruby to ride Faugheen and then ruby kicked him.....
to be fair to him today he was discussing the Champion with two people who were pretty easy to wind up. |
By:
Faugheen leading by 2 from TNO approaching the last fine jump at the last and steadily draws away to win by 5 from TNO and Vaniteux staying on at the one pace 3 rd. There u have it. 1-2-3.
By:
he is an idiot but is good fun

Just watching the forum now and Chapman is winding them up. What I will say about Chapman is that he seems the only one on horseracing who shows his passion whether he be right or wrong and so much better than most.
By:
hes mostly wrong
By:
He`s a bit like the Heavyweight boxer stirring things up before the event and creating more interest, opinions and arguments on the race, as this thread proves.
![]() ![]() ![]() Love him or hate him, he is a character and Racing needs more publicists (or bawheids) like him to make the sport more exciting. |
By:
There is only one horse likely to improve his rating in the Champion Hurdle and that is Faugheen. He only has 7 hurdle races under his saddle and he is rated 168 on OR and 182p by Timeform.
Is there anything in the Champion Hurdle that will halt the progression? or are you doubters expecting one of the more established horses to improve again after seemingly hitting their peak/ perhaps even on the decline already? The ratings seem tight with top 4 but which one seems more probable to improve it`s mark? |
By:
Hit a hurdle.....
Get blocked in..... Starter makes a hash of it..... Be given a poor ride..... At the odds available i would rather watch |
By:
If we're sticking our necks on the line barring him jumping like a drain I think it will be Faugheen, Jezki, The New One in that order.
By:
I agree with you Bannahan, the horse is unlikely to get beat.

All about opinions.
Myself, am very happy with my Jezki to be placed in the 3 at 1.94 rather than Faugheen to win at 2.2 Faugheen may very well win, I simply cannot envisage a scenario where Jezki is not in the first 3. Good luck all, let's just hope they all come back safe and with a clean trip for no excuses. |

Believe the ground will decide:
The New One - seems to go on ground but makes too many mistakes. Hurricane Fly - sadly ground gone against him. Faugheen - won on good at Cheltenham last year but mainly likes soft. Jetzki - loves this ground. On the above and value bet it has to be Jetzki. |
By:
Win on the bridle. A monster.
By:
Sorry Royston buts its The New One for me, the sight of him murdering the hill last year is still fresh in the memory, and I dont think he has regressed since then.
The only horse that I believe MIGHT finish in front of him is the jolly, but he will have to be every bit as good as they say he is, and at 5/4 I wouldnt be lumping on. Opinions eh? ![]() |

Are you talking about the right horse here???? look at his runs. 2 x good 2 x good/yielding 2 x yielding 1 x good/soft 1 x soft 1 x heavy |
