i find it really interesting how its only when koi posts a loser even if it runs well or is even placed that the knockers come out of the woodwork .. but i suppose they put up endless reams of winners all clearly argued and ensure we all profit from their knowledge .

I rate Carole's Spirit extremely highly. I know that CS didnt jumps as well as she can and she was giving the winner 5lb, but she is tough as old boots and could hardly believe she was outbattled.
So I think it was a awesome performance by the winner, who has size and scope to be lovely staying chaser. Just hope the race has not scarred them too much and we get to see them race against each other again very soon. |

Kio........ I`m not sure where u are coming from........ I have always put up advice, opinions, selections in the past.
Like I advised you Splash Of Ginge, will turn out to a better horse than Ainsi Fideles when he was beaten 47L by him back in Sep. But you where not too sure or that, but I was. Surely you know I`m on ur-side with this sport, if I mention something about a jockey, horse, trainer, commentator, track, e.t.c it`s only for the good of the sport to improve it, not just to nag and you thinking that it`s because I have backed a loser. |

Agree with you Swardean, the first two are exceptional mares and both ran up to their best. I backed the winner and think she will be a super chaser in time but as you say the 5lbs probably made the difference, and the fact that CS didn´t jump as well as she can.
It looked like a gruelling race for both of them and I think they will need a rest before we see them again. |

Yes tiptheodds, they were head and shoulders above the others in the race, and proximity of others was due to them going head to head for last mile. If either had not run, the other would have won with ease.
