AW racing is something similar to wrestling......

Is the rule about 'riding out for the best finish' still standing with stewards, or not?
Report stu January 14, 2015 2:14 PM GMT
Not sure what else they are supposed to do??
Report kemo sabe January 14, 2015 2:16 PM GMT
i must be watching different pictures ... the horse was given every chance the others at front burned it out it moved inside ..emptied left to come home .... it had no chance of winning .why would y want to flog it on its initial run ,,,i wonder what will be stopped next race,,,, ho hum
Report paulie wallnuts January 14, 2015 2:27 PM GMT
Not sure what will be stopped....but there will be a few.....the problem is when you don't know which ones.....
Report stu January 14, 2015 2:28 PM GMT
Markets give you a clue sometimes.
Report kemo sabe January 14, 2015 2:31 PM GMT
ok guys if there are so many why in heavens name do you bet on horses ... your obviously entitled to your opinions but while im surethere are exceptions .... if i was looking for this in every race i really wouldnr bet ever ... tell me why if y think this you still bet ,,, do you also enjoy a bit of flaggelation
Report stu January 14, 2015 2:31 PM GMT
kemo - are you really trying to say it's ok not to ride out a finish (when possible placing)?
That's plainly not true according the rules.
Report kemo sabe January 14, 2015 2:40 PM GMT
stu .... your remarks about the markets giving a clue sometimes isnt helpful if you think about it ...yesterday i put up a horse on the sand,,, Extreme Supreme ... i even said exactly how it would be ridden and its back ground ... all day it drifted from 5s to 8s . so you might conclude its a non trier ... i know the trainer likes the horse and had improved from its previous two wins i said it would be held up ,it was ,i said it would try to pick up the fav in last furlong ,it tried but wasnt good enough it finished second ... i know the stable a tiny one had a few quid on as did the connections ... now if it had finished 5th by yr reasoning its not off . its not logical most small stables want to get winners ...

That sounds like a lot of smoke and mirrors in your answer Kemo Laugh

Simple fact is there are rules, not interpretations. Big difference.
Report stu January 14, 2015 2:48 PM GMT
Though I agree about mental attitude being positive.
Report stu January 14, 2015 2:48 PM GMT
...as the 'rides' should also be. Wink
Report kemo sabe January 14, 2015 2:51 PM GMT
stu lighten up i never had you as a pedant ... lifes all about interprataion ...... all about tiny differences ... choices ... i choose to be optomistic ... im a gambler but ive learned so much about myself good or bad  by this life style ... i know if i look for conspiracy it effects my judgement ,,, do y agree or not ,,, isnt it better to just move to next thing ..ohh and im snowed in so you cant be as bad as me
Report kemo sabe January 14, 2015 2:54 PM GMT
im not sure i do smoke and mirrors ... but next time im in lancashire theres a girl there who just might ... i will ask her later and let y know
Report TheCollector January 14, 2015 2:57 PM GMT
Thought that myself...coming down the inside then just stopped riding
Report stu January 14, 2015 4:28 PM GMT
Simple question is, could you have imagined him doing that if it had been heavily gambled to win the race?
Report stu January 14, 2015 4:30 PM GMT
*why could

(it was heavily gambled of course)
