 ), selections for the Carnival will be permitted. |

George I did not take part in the last competition but from what I saw you ran it extremely well but I see that at 22.15 you said that it was UK and Irish racing only and underlined the words. Then about 100 minutes later you said that the Dubai carnival will be included. Dare I suggest that this is moving the goal-posts a bit. It doesnt worry me really but should we be making changes willy nilly or as Tommy Cooper would say just like that.

Sounds like a good idea to include Dubai could well lose some meetings ,there is only two days racing which would count anyway .
Tbh some of the days are poor ,the Tuesday is naff and if Taunton is off its even naffer ,with only ling and the southwell on  would rather take my chance at the trotting at Vincennes ,Cagnes or Pau  Are we at the dogs if a big freeze kicks in and the all weather freezes ? Arklearkle, I had initially included Dubai, however, it occurred to me that in the past the results might not have been on the Timeform results page (which would be a problem when it came to settling any place bets), so I removed it from the rules.
Having checked though, they are on this year, so given we could be bereft of domestic meetings, we'll include it. As long as everyone is aware that selections are allowed at Meydan, and I will highlight it on the appropriate days, there's not a problem. breadnbutter, there are no plans to include greyhound racing! |
