I replied a couple of times on your earlier thread and had empathy as I had a false start about 4 years ago, making £25k in 4 months then losing it in the next 2 months - having spent 2 years working on a betting to win "system".
Then I spent the best part of 3 years working out how to win by laying fairly short priced horses.  And I do it and it works (so far).

What I now fail to understand with you why you are still posting on here ... what are you doing it for?

I can't actually read what that screenshot says - is the profit somewhere in the region of £300?

Sam, are you trading on evening meetings as well?
Was that an average day, or more than normal>

Congratulations on the profit anyway, would it work as well if you doubled the stakes?

So why would you believe I'm telling the truth now and not in my first post? As I've mentioned four times now, I joined the forums for the same reason as everyone to discuss horse racing trading, and maybe give a few pointers here and there. Just because my profit margins are quite high, doesn't mean id ever think I was above another trader, no matter how experienced they are

Today and Mondays screenshots were from 3 hours of trading, however, I usually trade the evening meetings whenever I get the time. As I mentioned in my previous post, which was met with great disbelief, my schedule is quite hectic at the moment but I do enjoy keeping busy

As I'm sure you are aware, I obviously wouldn't share anything too in depth but do tell me what your current trading/work schedule is like and/or what areas you would like these pointers in. I mentioned in another post that I spent many wasted hours trying to take the get-rich-quick route by going from 'foolproof method' to 'foolproof method' without really sitting down and just studying how and why the market is moving in the way it does. So I'd say persistence and not getting side-tracked is extremely important. I know it gets thrown around a lot, but I believe that my mental state is the primary factor while I'm in the markets. That moment of second guessing myself can (and has in the past) cost me greatly

Sam - the only thing anyone's going to be interested in is what you are actually doing in your trades. So unless you are going to divulge that, all you're going to do by hanging around here is p1ss people off and make enemies. All the general stuff about 'study hard, don't get distracted, don't bet while p1ssed' is all well and good but completely useless to anyone who's been betting more than 5 minutes.

And one day's trading results proves nothing about your skill. You might have just been laying outsiders. You probably haven't, but could easily have had a good couple of days doing that. If you provide a screen shot of your 3 month P/L, or your PC charge for the week, that will at least go a long way to show how genuinely good you are, which is what you seem to want to prove to people, so why not do that? What have you got to hide?

Striding old chap! I will be having a half decent bet on Stephanie Frances in the 1-55 at Headache Park. Looked like it had plenty in hand LTO and really quickened up well. Not a bad price considering. Other than that I will just be looking to lay a couple and keep powder dry until tomorrow! Hope all is well and the coffers are filling nicely for you!DevilWink
