Hi. I am looking to buy a new laptop, nothing too pricey or extravagant, just something that allows me to browse the internet, and most importantly, allows me to trade in play using bet angel basic and possibly bet angel professional. I don't even know where to begin looking!!! A laptop that allows me to use Microsoft word & excel would also be helpful.
Anybody have any suggestions?? Thanks in advance.

Make sure you get enough memory - preferably expandable. I have Asus i5 2.53 GHz runs Betangel fine. Came with 4GB memory which turned out to be not enough. I do open a new Chrome tab for every race I have open positions in - so could be 20ish at a time - and that eats it. Took the 2x2GB out and replaced with 2x4GB. Much better now.

Buy one with Windows 7 rather than 8.x.

yes windows 7 recommended, 8 is going to be replaced anyway

look on Amazon and Ebay for a good refurbished machine, you really want 4Gb min, but 8Gb is much better

for around £300 you will get more than you need

Thank you all for your replies! I also posted this on the football and general betting forums and i've had a lot of great advice.
So it sounds like (remembering that i know pretty much fcuk all about laptops and the required specifications etc!), that i need a laptop which runs windows 7 and not windows 8, has 8GB of storage and has a SSD??!!
My budget is around £250-£300 so that appears to be achievable. Ive had a look at all the links you've posted and they have given me plenty of food for thought. Thank you aonce again.

Anymore specific laptops matching the criteria i mentioned above would be excellent if anyone can recommend any?? Cheers all
