Made me wonder if Farage sanctioned the appearance, or even knew about it. Who in their right mind would give that idiot a job as a spokesman on owt?

The trouble is that in many towns across the UK immigration has turned those towns into cess pits, and towns that people have been living in for many years they no longer recognize.

People have had enough and they see UKIP as the only party that speaks for them

immigration and europe are are a smokescreen, your town wont get any better whilst the likes off facebook, google, supermarkets, starbucks, callcentres etc,etc are allowed to pay poverty inducing wages, any pressure put on them to do so will result in them migrating to the next country allowing them to pay obscene wages whilst paying no or little taxes on their profits
you,d have more chance of getting your town back if you could persuade these multi nationals to set up elsewhere where that countrys government either through migration or screwing the poor would have to provide these companies with an almost free workforce

In an odd way I hope Ukip gain power so the plebians will no longer have someone to blame and hate.

It's previously been - Jews, Irish, Blacks, Indians, Pakis, Muslims, east Europeans.

The Daily Mail will probably fold.

The uneducated white working class will then probably wake up one day and say "hey, I'm still screwed and I can't blame any foreigners, what shall I do"?

Education does not mean smart .

Thomas Telford received no formal education after the age of fourteen .

Brainwashed would be a better term for the "white working class "

Come the election people will return to the normal 3 parties and although UKIP will have done well they wont be in any position for power as a coalition.

What they should then do is say thank you Mr Farage please move on, then get rid of all the useless spokesmen in their team and moderate the party, then in 5 years time they could hold the balance of power.

No matter who gets in next time as a country we are in this mess for a long haul.

I think wages and poverty have little if any bearing on the current situation in many towns and cities throughout  this country . i have quite a few friends now who are the result of immigration over the last forty years or so and they are decent working people so do not anybody try to label me as racist for my views  .A large part of the problem comes from the arrival of mass numbers from communities and countrys where the way of life is vastly different from the way of life that used to be the standard and norm here .I am not aware of any area or community in this land that is a better place now than it was before immigration and attempted integration . In an ideal world the mass movement and relocation of peoples would not be a problem but to accept into any community with good and fair standards of values and living large numbers of people who are used to existing to much lower standards is not only not good policy ,but is downright dangerous . Large numbers have arrived here over many years from societies where crime is rife and violence is a regular way of both living and aquiring some sort of power . I was born in 1956 in an outskirt of a town in yorkshire called Dewsbury which was very working class then but was overall a pretty safe place to live and grow up although we had our share of lowlifes . Now that area is a virtual no go area with drug dealing ,violence and thuggery rife , overall it is not a very nice place .All the lowering of standards cannot be blamed on immigration though as from the sixties on successive governments have allowed and often encouraged the acceptance of reliability on the state by people who do not want to work whilst at the same time discipline in society has gradually eroded to the state where nowadays the victims of antisocial crime are regarded as secondary to the " human rights " of the perpetrators and i believe it is now a public backlash that is swelling the support for ukip and i can see days of rekoning coming in the not too distant future . As a closure to this in my childhood neighbourhood  last week there was a large mass streetfight between eastern europeans and the pakistani and bangladeshi factions with several taken to hospital with major knife injuries and two nearly died . A reflection of the times im afraid .

im 55 when i was a kid where my auntie lived, a mass brawl on the  grren on a sunday after the pub closed was tradition, they only phoned the police if it didnt happen ,they felt robbed, so a mass brawl is hardly earth shattering

i watched newsnight this week and laughed at what was clearly a ukip exercise to try and broaden the party appeal and show another face apart from farage

that was a complete joke, but farage has appeal to normal voters and you can only imagine how far labour would win the next election if they had a leader even half as appealing instead of the wallace (wallace & grommit) faced idiot they have at the helm now

Capitalism cannot function properly without creating a scapegoat for the poorer members of society to focus on.

When there's no scapegoat the people turn on the system with violence.

If you think immigration is the problem then you are deluded, naive and stupid.

the lib dems are finished as a party now that everybody knows a vote for them is a vote for the tories despite their pre election lies.

if UKIP does increase it's vote considerably then they might well hold the balance of power between labour and tories in this country.

If HTH is some kind of acronym for 'hope that helps' then I'm afraid it doesn't help in the slightest. Nothing in your post adds anything to this debate and therefore would you be kind enough to have a sensible point to make should you wish to post again please?
