Following on from a few posts I read a couple of days ago regarding Epsom runners going into the NH sphere, couldn't resist cobbling together a few teasers to test the memories of the learned ones on here...!
All questions relate to the last 25 years to make it quick and easy, no googling now...!

1) Name the horse who finished 4th in a Derby and ended its career with two runs in the Grand National...?

2) Name a horse  to have taken part in the Derby and then gone on to record 10 NH victories....?

3) Name the Derby runner up and the Derby third who were put over hurdles...?

4) Which Derby in the last 25 years has supplied the largest number of horses to be sent over jumps...?

5) There have been 8 horses to have run in the Derby to then go on and win races over both hurdle and chase obstacles, who are they...?

Good answer and factually correct fmun, but the answer I am looking for is a runner from the last 25 years, the great Sea Pigeon was of course alot earlier having run in the 1973 Derby

Silver Wisp was the Derby 3rd. Plato's Republic won over hurdles/fences - I'd guess the 1994 Derby he ran in produced most NH horses too.
By:

When: 21 Sep 14 14:42
wd Mikael all correct, the 1994 Derby yielded 8 individual recruits to the NH game, Silver Wisp was indeed 3rd in 1992 and had one unsuccessful run at Punchestown and Plato's Republic won 1 hurdle and 1 chase

A quick update

1) Name the horse who finished 4th in a Derby and ended its career with two runs in the Grand National...? Still to be answered

2) Name a horse to have taken part in the Derby and then gone on to record 10 NH victories....? Answered - Through The Rye (1999)

3) Name the Derby runner up and the Derby third who were put over hurdles...? Answered - runner up Walk in the Park (2005) third Silver Wisp (1992)

4) Which Derby in the last 25 years has supplied the largest number of horses to be sent over jumps...? Answered - 1994, 8 runners

5) There have been 8 horses to have run in the Derby to then go on and win races over both hurdle and chase obstacles, who are they...? Partly answered - so far you have

Plato's Republic (1994) 1 hurdle 1 chase
Papua (1997) 2 hurdles 4 chases
Through the Rye (1999) 9 hurdles 1 chase

Aurelius won over fences as well as hurdles.
Had a happy time at stud for a year or two but was basically infertile so lost his ghoulies and sent jumping.
