Only following orders guv!!
By:
He wanted it to go by but the thing was too good.......
By:
Rode it like a green 2 yr old 1st time out.
By:
Chapman astonished...
By:
Definitely wanted Kingsbarns to win but had no choice, horse travelling too well and would have been strung up

We have got to a stage in this glorious sport where the big stables are trying to get certain horses to win Group races to ship them off to stud with a Group win. The serious question to be asked here is why did the winning jockey stop riding anyway?
By:
what swardean said
By:
Winner a gelding-Chapman points out it has no value as a stallion. Good shout.
By:
The sad thing is we all saw what happened with our own eyes and chapman was 100% correct in what he was impling after the race but that wont stop numerous people in racing trying to tell us that the winner is a hard ride and 'how many times have you pushed a horse around the curragh'
By:
he should be banned anyway, he didnt ride the horse on its merits.
By:
Chapman being very diplomatic.
By:
he won ffs
By:
How on earth can you ban a jockey for not trying on a winner. Agreed it didn't look great , but you start threading a very fine line when you punish people for winning
By:
But he tried his best not to win.
By:
how can you prove that. all he has to say i knew i had it in the bag

Majority on here with same opinion!
By:
But the intent was their, their must had been a discussion pre race and imo this brings the game into disrepute
By:
i give up HE WON hello
By:
That's all supposition , what rule did he break by winning the race that you can prove
By:
Only won because he had no other option but to do so.
By:
I tuned into an interview with Aidan after the Irish Oaks, and to be fair the question might have been why hadn't Joseph picked the winner to ride, but he was going on about why Joseph had picked another one.
As if it mattered, they'd won the race ![]() |
By:
so it won so everything is ok, fine. you could get a job at the bha

Broke no rules, but the contempt that the connections have for everyone else was there for all to see.

By:
Some might say this is a thread full of Kingbarns and Parish Hall backers giving out

I backed Kingsbarns, and certainly wish Heffernan had succeeded in doing what he so obviously attempted to. Did not look good.
