THE FACT IS THAT CHESTERBET KNOW THEY CANT COMPETE WITH THE ONCOURSE BOOKS SO THESE ARE THE ONLY OPTIONS OPEN TO THEM,PRICE THE ONCOURSE BOOKS OUT OR MAKE IT AS AWKWARD AS POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO OPERATE!

Factmachine the problem is when the individual does it the racecourse wont take notice as you then become one or two disgruntled bookies (Illuminati will actively encourage racecourses to believe this as well in my opinion)and will unfortunately get nowhere this would have to be done with a very large number of the attending pitch holders to have any chance of success ps better to do it at a meeting covered by Channel 4 for maximum effect. I don't think you will ever get all of the bookies to agree and miss a meeting as chesterbet is only a nuisance for some and not all oncourse books.
The 6 or seven pitches in the middle are probably delighted they are pushing their product as it means the 6/7 books will never be increased. What's good for one book is not always what suits everyone.
In my opinion of course.

The only way to defeat a school bully who is pinching all your pocket money is to stand up to them and boycott one busy meeting, the mickey mouse Chesterbet windows would never be able to service all the punter. There would be huge queues and the punter would be up in arms if they could not get a bet on after paying their exorbitant entrance fee, They would soon start altering the way they deal with the book's when they find the meeting cannot work with out a good supply of on course bookies willing to take bets. Chesterbet isn't like the tote. Just because chesterbet appear to have an inflated over-round, doesn't mean they couldn't have liabilities on a race, especially at Bangor.

In a small field novice hurdle, they could end up only "laying" one horse. Doesn't matter what sp is returned, it would still be a loser.

having spoke to the chap running chesterbet i haven't seen much mention of how the bet actually works on here, apologies if i have missed a post...and i too think this is a horrible bet

my reading of the bet is that chesterbet put prices on a board but that is not the price you are actually getting ie if you back a horse at say 10-1 for example, that isn't the actual price you are getting...the way the bet actually works is they give you an sp return at 10%(or at least this was how i read it) less of what the bookmakers return price is...so if the bookies return 11-2 you get around 5-1 for your money but this doesn't get away from the fact that if the said horse is backed from 10-1 to 11-2 you aren't actually getting say 9-1 all you get is the 5-1 return

so in short the way the bet works is you as a punter just get an sp return even if you get on early...it really is a horrible bet...sick in fact

I bet with the same indy as these lads, he will give the best price that billys,lads and korals are giving on any race, no refer to trader, no you can only have a pony on, and I even get the fractions, winning accounts never closed and more importantly he takes the wife's bets without telling her she can only have sp on unlike my firm, so no evening agro although we usually make it up by bedtime

He's a true gent and the staff are polite professional and knowledgeable, unlike some shops staff who would rather be on their iPhones on Facebook or twitter or even arranging their social life before serving the punter.

I have been a punter for over 35 years and have dealt with many on and off course bookies and never had a problem with any of them.

I now work for a high street bookies and have daily problems with punter trying to rip us off, even down to the oap's saying the 49ers have been filled in wrong
