As we all know the race revolves around Maid in Rio and whether she gets home - 2.4 is a bit skinny but she seems a machine and would MJ risk her over an extreme distance if he thought that she would not get home? I think she wins - so does Bob but after yesterdays shenanigans with Toormore i am reluctant to get stuck into a shortie at Goodwood..so what are the options?
lieutenant Millar to place (last race looked a prep to me for this one today)
Brockwell has only won at Haydock and interesting to see That Rio has won twice there. Haydock has yet to finish in the past winners C.V (1990 onwards)

No 3 year old winner for yonks, up 5 furlongs on different ground. Officially ten pound well in, but 5/4? Not a lay but not a bet.
L Miller ew the bet.

Riddles? I gave the negatives Rio (3yo), LMillar (age), Lack of Haydock wins for past winners Never mentioned Ray Ward as a negative - just wondered why so low in price. Put a late bet on it.

it was so low in price because had some of the best form of all the runners in the race, 3 lengths beating by leading light, decent form and the de rigueur form as well.
