I'm sure some of the ex army types that run racing must know people who can handle a rifle.
just employ an ex soldier at each track with a sniper rifle and instructions to take out any drunk who endangers the lives of horses or jockeys. (could make a few exceptions as far as jockeys are concerned) |

To lazy to do the link, but Andrew Symonds nearly broke a pitch intruder in half a few seasons back in Oz. That's the way to go, the real shame is the rider on the near side rail who was well beat, didn't lash him with the whip as he went by.
Two more runs with someone like Jamie "The gaps just didn't appear" Spencer on his back, get a nice handicap mark and then bolt up at Southwell in January off a mark of 45!! |
