Ruby lost that race not Annie Power, ruby had her way too far back the whole way then went inside outside then between horses for no good reason whatsoever other than trying to showboat, Ruby beat the horse by messing about......mans an idiot.

plenty of time, stick to doing your peices on Pricewise Ash
Report starfish and coffee March 13, 2014 3:31 PM GMT
Must have lost a length or two weaving about but was beaten fair and square in the end
Report Mr Eboue March 13, 2014 3:31 PM GMT
Best horse won. Walsh did nothing wrong.
Report Tallywagger. March 13, 2014 3:32 PM GMT
winner wanted it more
Report mirisoo March 13, 2014 3:32 PM GMT
Nah, both came to the last taking a pull, soon as they jumped it in unison Annie didn't have the pace to live with that beast.

Baffling thread. Produced to win her race and just patently outstayed by a better horse up the hill.

Report ReaseHeath March 13, 2014 3:34 PM GMT
winner is a seriously good horse, could be a Gold Cup horse in a couple of years.

not like she was closing him down at the end - and she was getting 7lbs.
Report ArmchairIdiot March 13, 2014 3:34 PM GMT
Bullshit. She hit the front ffs. She got out battles and outstayed.
Report Jack Bauer '24' March 13, 2014 3:34 PM GMT
Beaten by a stronger stayer. Ruby gave her a good ride.

This. Had every chance, beaten by a better one.
Report ArmchairIdiot March 13, 2014 3:36 PM GMT
If she got involved earlier, she'd have finished even further behind the winner.
Report TEABAGHDAD March 13, 2014 3:44 PM GMT
No excuses ap simply not good enough. Simple as that.

Like I wrote earlier and ruby just admitted....

Quote "Ruby lost that race not Annie Power, ruby had her way too far back the whole way then went inside outside then between horses for no good reason whatsoever other than trying to showboat, Ruby beat the horse by messing about......mans an idiot."

So many clueless muppets on here.....forum full of losers who cant even see a bad ride when it kicks them in the face.

You forgot the bit where he said more of that found pleanty and she definitely stayed if she was good enough she would of beat him had every chance

Report starfish and coffee March 13, 2014 3:50 PM GMT
Don't think it was a great ride basil but was still beaten by the better horse imo
Report culdesac March 13, 2014 3:51 PM GMT
Anyone who says Ruby got it wrong is only doing so with hindsight and he cant make his decisions with that.
He tracked Big Bucks as would have made sense at the off. As soon as BB in trouble he swtiched and tracked McManus number 1.
That didnt work either.
More Of That was as certain to stay as Annie power so took her on at th elast.
It may have gone wrong but no way of knowing that when he made the moves!
Great decisive riding that deserved better
Report basilbrush March 13, 2014 3:51 PM GMT
You guys know nothing about race watching or you would have known Ruby messed up, you are embarrassing.

Exactly that's what ruby said aswel he followed the wrong horse afc

Report Jezebel March 13, 2014 3:55 PM GMT
Good summary culdesac.  He reacted to the changing complexion of the race and all he was guilty of was underestimating More Than That, and he's hardly alone in that.
Report Jack Bauer '24' March 13, 2014 3:55 PM GMT
Would have been outstayed by the winner whatever he had done, imo.
Report ReaseHeath March 13, 2014 3:57 PM GMT
he was still following the wrong horse at the end and would have been following him if they'd gone another furlong...only he'd have been further behind by then....it's not a computer game, for wrong read better.

Beaten nearly two lengths, not a head, a neck,a nose, a short head.

Where did he lose ground that cost him the race?

I did n't back the winner but he looks completely the real deal to me and will go on to prove it.
Report Wesdag March 13, 2014 3:58 PM GMT
Shame Ruby doesn't read the forum so that all these armchair jocks here could teach him how to ride winners.

First time she has got into a battle, and the winner had Bob`s Worth battling qualities.

She ran a fine race all in all. The winner is a tough nut to crack and shouldn`t be underrated.
Report RBoyd86 March 13, 2014 4:18 PM GMT
there was only one horse that should of won the champion and thats the new one... after what happened to do what he did marks him as diff class...
Report itsallaracket March 13, 2014 5:02 PM GMT
daft as a brush... there's only one idiot on here
Report Dr Crippen March 13, 2014 5:51 PM GMT
The horse was put into the race with every chance, you can't ask for more than that.
She didn't come too late and she didn't go too soon.
She had every chance.

I see McCoy was on the wrong horse again.
Report boosup March 13, 2014 6:14 PM GMT
half full, half empty here; I do think that RW did not ride the best of tactics in the closing stages and I think his seemingly post-race rather deflated comments reinforce this view; mind you, the winner loooooooooooooked rather competent and large in the strength stakes so Chelt 15 for me is back both at the different disciplines.
