I intend to be cautious and wait. 100% sure if Quevega doesn't turn up from some reason Annie Power would switch.

Thats the race i was hoping Annie went for the mares. but couldnt see Mullins putting annie against Quegevo. The world hurdle seems the right race with question marks about Big Bucks and at fishers cross

If they both turn up one of them is a massive price, big bucks could easily be back to its best after it's return run, looked as good as ever till it emptied out on heavy going. If it's not back to his best(And stable will already know)then Annie will win.

Too true Ladycarla i thought Big bucks would go away after the last. I just feel the form of that race is poor coming into the world hurdle. I think at fishers cross as been well below par this season and hasnt looked anywhere near as good as last season and for a horse that looked beaten and ready to tail off at top of the hill to come back and pass both is in my few poor form.

I could be wrong but this is why I'd be a little surprised if Un De Sceaux lines up in he Champion Hurdle as you get the impression the yard wouldn't want to have other runners with chances clash with their current champions.
I still think Big Buck's will win though and don't agree that he has questions to answer. |

I have backed BB every race bar his last since he went back hurdling but have backed Annie this year but its not a foregone conclusion. Only PFN had Kauto and the tank I reckon BB would have won a couple of GCs.

I'm amazed people want to back Big Buck's at the price, it must be sentimentality. The Cleeve Hill was a poor poor race this year and he has it all to do in my opinion. At Fishers Cross was a big doubt for me until McCoy chose it over More Of That and Cheltenham is not really Celestial Halo or Reve De Sivola track.
Annie Power is a tough call and definitely no bet until the day (or at least till after the OLBG Mares) and hopefully there will be some offer prices, as 2/1 and shorter is horrible. There are definitely easier races to find the winner of at this years festival; I''ll probably end up backing Zarkander e/w at 11/1! |

Agree that Big Bucks might have won a couple of Gold Cups but maybe he had a back problem that the public are unaware of. I still think that Celestial halo will be in the first 3 and might still win.

.... yet Willie says if something happens to Quevega or Hurricane Fly, then Annie Power will divert to another race ie World Hurdle only third choice for him and the owner over a distance she is unproven.
