OK, serious question then. You are down £2800 in four months, which equates to £700 a month - which of course is not to be sniffed at. At what point did you intend on turning it around in your favour? Genuine question, lateral thinking.
Report kenny mann January 3, 2014 12:38 AM GMT
At any time in the future peter.

Can I ask you a question?

Why do you thoink they closed me down?

It's quite a simple answer.

Still hardly fair though.
Report peter gaffney January 3, 2014 12:42 AM GMT
I cannot answer that Kenny but wish I could. Was there no reasoning with them?
Report kenny mann January 3, 2014 12:47 AM GMT
Well the answer is that most of my horses shortened in price, peter. About 80%. They realised that they'd had a lucky break and stopped while they were winning.
Report kenny mann January 3, 2014 12:48 AM GMT
Which as I said is rather unfair, but that's the way the bookies operate.

Whats the issue here? you've admitted you're a dirty arber- every bet you do will be an arb, therefore they know you'll win long term and close you down. You are bad for business, its not rocket science. Why you'd post on a gambling forum when you don't know what that entails i don't know.

I had the same prob with 'No BetVictor' not long ago as can be seen in my previous post.Today my 'Sky No Bet' account has been restricted to a ceiling profit of approx £300 on any bet.I sent an email asking the reason and got this reply
Greg F Response via email on 20/02/2014 12.04 PM
Hi Paul
Your account has been restricted due to your betting patterns. Most, if not all, your selections are top prices or in a position were you can arbitrage and thus make a win-win situation. As this is unprofitable business we reserve the right to restrict accounts in order to manage our positions and keep our liabilities in check. We would rather lay 10 accounts £25 than just 1 account £250 so a restriction has to be put in place in order to do so. Your account is constantly monitored and reviewed so any change in your betting patterns will be reflected in your restriction.

If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind Regards,

Greg F

to which i have replied(but doubt it will make any difference)

Hi Greg,
I do lay horses on the exchanges but never ones that I back. Sometimes if I am out or the price is better elsewhere I will back with yourself or Sporting Bet.Up until now you have accommodated the size of bets that I request.
I can empathise with your standing but you are a bookie, after all, and if you are not willing to lay a bet to lose £2k (which would be my general bet) beggers belief. After all you could ‘arb’ yourself if you wanted through the trade to avoid the loss if necessary.
If you are not going to lay to around this amount I may as well leave.
I don’t win all the time otherwise I would be living in the West Indies or alike lol
Cheers Paul

Welcome to **** live help. How can I help you?

Hi

Hi, how can I help?

Can you please find out why my bets are being restricted to a few pence? I have not backed any winners? Thanks

Having checked your recent attempts, it appears that the bets are being rejected by automatic risk controls that have been put in place by our trading department. This is not specific to your account but attributed to the market itself. Unfortunately we are not in a position to override any of these restrictions and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

A couple of pound on a virtual? It doesnt make any sense?

The restrictions are a Trading decision and unfortunately we cannot override these.

I understand this but is there any point in having an acvount if you can only place pennies? They/you say they are automatic risk controls which I fully understand but all the bets are limited to a few pence, this has to be unique to me , if it was in place for everyone you would not have any turn over. I understand you are probably asked this question lots of times but something here is not making sense.

I understand your frustration however there is nothing I can do in relation to the restrictions you are meeting when placing your bets. These restrictions have been put in place by the Trading department who are responsible for the liability of the markets they offer.

Sonia £1 on a 10/1 is not a liability. I dont have a problem with anyone restricting bets, you are in it to make money, but I have not backed any winners, I would just like to know the reason the restriction have appeared all of a sudden?

These restrictions are not specific to your account but to the market or selection. As advised this is a Trading decision and cannot be overridden. I understand your frustration however this is all I can tell you at this time.

Ok I know there is nothing you can do but the answer you are coming up with honestly dont make sense, and is there any way you can relay that to the trader please. Does this mean that any football bets are also restricted, if they are there is no point in me wasting my time next time I want a football bet. Thanks.

Unfortunately I cannot advise which markets or selections have restrictions and which dont. I will certainly pass your feedback to the Traders in relation to this.

Ok by the way I am not some disgruntled punter I am a bookmakers with a shop and the whole this as I have said does not make sense, all I want is a resonable answer as to why its happening..

I understand your point and I do apologise that I am unable to give you any further information.

Ok cheers, it looks like the internet is going to put an awful lot of people out of a job, I have dealt on the phone with Boyles for years and years something somewhere is going very very wrong, good luck have a good night.

Goodbye, have a good evening!
