Phoned some 10 days ago because, not for the first time, they'd taken an incorrect amount from my ban account. Sat on the phone for ages (to their financial benefit) waiting for an "agent". Eventually got through and was promised a refund.

Nothing has come through and now having exactly the same difficulty getting through to one of their "agents who are all busy at the moment". Have given up now and looks like I'll have to take them to the small claims court which, frankly, is ridiculous for the amount involved. But there is a principle here.

Are they in financial difficult or is it just incompetence on their part?

Its certainly a lesson in how not to run a racing channel.

As I have said before its hardly customer friendly to champion a co presenter who is allowed to insult just about everyone in racing from Jockeys to trainers and most importantly the very people who pay his bloated fee the punter.
Many other mistakes are common place other than those already mentioned and possibly the most unforgivable is how we are starved of the real stars of the show -the horses.
All too often we are given a history lesson or a futuristic view of what might happen in races that are months away or long gone, instead the races of the day, where 99.9% of our bets are wagered is so ridiculously sidelined by ego's, that outer space would worry about housing are unleashed on a bemused majority who for the most part think sectionals belong on other tracks in other parts of the world.
You could not make it up.

I will miss some of the presenters. However, the recent fiasco, through managerial incompetence, combined with a 100% increase in charges for internet only users over the last two years has led me to cancel.
Haven't received an acknowledgement of my e-mails never mind a reply.
Have wasted money trying to get to talk to someone on the phone.

Ridiculous that they don't employ enough people to answer the phones?

Ridiculous that they charge an amount that actually encourages them not to answer the phone?

Ridiculous that they take money from a bank account that they have no right to do?

Ridiculous that, having admitted their error and have no explanation for doing taking that money, they then don't then keep their promise to re-credit the account?

& the odd chance you may have received one back from this company?.

Then get a group together and take it all down to, Jockey Club H.Q and do not move until something
is done about it. What i would say is racing uk never let's on that the company is parent owned By
RMG LTD they are the ones at Fault along with the sticks in jockey club.

Anyone with any evidence that they want to share let me have it. I will go up there myself. As I

I'm obviously in the minority but I think RUK is miles better than ATR. Apart from the time delays on ATR, the presenters are poor. Zoey Bird? Tommo? Harvey? RUK dipped after C4 nicked a couple of its team but Hislop, Mellish and Willoughby offer greater depth and analysis (agree with them or not) than anything ATR can offer. Plus better courses under their care, including Ascot from next year.
ATR do offer insurance, legal claims and will writing adverts but I can manage without them
