By:
there is no law that says you need a tv license hth
By:
I beg to differ,Tamboy.
By:
it's not a law it's an act,big difference.
Dear FOI Enquiries, The BBC has sent me a pdf file explaining that the communications act 2003 makes it a legal requirement to pay television license fees, however, my question was, which LAW states i have to pay tv license fees. An act is not a law, an act can only be actioned upon if the citizen agrees to be subjected to its original intention (i do not) therefore to the best of my knowledge as the BBC have failed to tell me otherwise, there is NO UK LAW which requires me to pay tv license fees. AN ACT IS NOT A LAW, THUS THERE IS NO MURDER ACT, THERE IS NO RAPE ACT, ONLY MURDER LAWS AND RAPE LAWS. From this day fourth i will proceed to cancel my direct debit to TV License and until i see evidence that a LAW exists telling me otherwise, then i shall not pay another penny, i may even request a refund of what i have paid so far. |

Logikal - "Balding could be one of the reasons for no new contract after speaking to Sheik Mo like she did after the Guineas"
The below seems to be a verbatim report of the exchange (even though its from the Guardian. What hard-hitting incisive question did you take exception to? Guardian quote... Balding had had to be persistent to get an interview of any kind, as the Sheikh twice turned down her off-camera approaches. But, caught up in the euphoria of the winner's enclosure after his chestnut had won by an impressive five lengths, he consented. "I'm very, very happy to come and see a good horse winning the Guineas," said the Sheikh, who serves as ruler of Dubai and prime minister of the UAE. Asked if he had been tempted to stay away, he replied: "I always face certain ... challenges. To me, it's normal." Balding then asked if the Sheikh was "happy" with the actions of the British Horseracing Authority, who recently banned one of his trainers, Mahmood al-Zarooni, for eight years for covert use of steroids. "That's up to them," said the Sheikh, already turning away, melting into his supportive entourage." Unquote |

Amazing that people are prepared to pay £20 per month for RUK when access to the full range of BBC programmes cost just over £12 a month.
Anybody got RUK + the full Sky Sports package + BT TV to pick up the games they have. How much does that lot cost please ? |

I fear that you will be watching from Brixton Prison in the near future,Tammy.
By:
tambhoy... are you really trying to suggest that an act of parliament is not law? lol...
in England and Wales, there are two basic ways that laws are created: common law and statute. your reference to that act, if it's received the royal assent is as good law (better in fact) than the common law relating to murder etc. so, yes it is a legal requirement for you to have a tv licence and I agree with those above who think you're a loon. |
