well , he hasn't been to any off meeting for at least 5 years , so won't realize how dire they all are.
actually, if I was asked to value it I would say 1000 top is about fair. interesting to see what fool falls for it ,the danger is if a good number are sold the new owners will turn up to bet in large numbers

the reserve for lot 3962 has got it's value about right though
By:

When: 07 Nov 13 12:30
Adge - if I buy pick 3962 for £10 then how much will it cost me to bet at the Beecher saturday in terms of badge and marketing fee.
By:

I don't have a pitch at Aintree but would guess 152 plus 110 plus admission

bad forecast sunday but never rained all day, think only around 16 books in tatts/14 rails on sunday and still unworkable
By:
ribero1
When: 07 Nov 13 13:06
That sunday has always been useless, the other sunday used to be ok but obviously they have scrapped it for a Saturday.

Wont the marketing fee be split i there are now 2 lists
By:
545APG

Adge I only went so I could win what the firm would lose at Doncaster

My opinion which counts for nothing of course is that by selling the off part of your pitch devalues the Grand National pitch by more than what you would get for selling it
By:
B1GTONY76
When: 07 Nov 13 13:35
If you have a pitch on both lists you only pay one marketing fee, this was confirmed at the meeting before racing

Pick 9 now in auction, reserve more realistic.

the snowball is gathering pace

It's time for adge to buy back in !
By:

When: 07 Nov 13 16:00
a marketing fee will have to b paid by anyone who buys a pitch in the off at aintree so its a marketing fee for both rings but its only one fee if you already have the pitch
By:
ribero1
When: 07 Nov 13 16:19
despite these pitches being laughed at mainly by those who don't have one.the top ones will be well workable apart from on the dreadful sunday, the problem is though I can't see where any buyers can come from firstly the first Saturday clashes with a busy Doncaster ,the 2nd one with Wetherby and the 2 Friday nights with York.
If you were local you could probably network  2 pretty good picks for around about 10k,the county stand picks worth 15-20k imo.

When: 07 Nov 13 16:24
But if you are not local ribero ? Confused
By:
ribero1
When: 07 Nov 13 16:25
Exactly Democrat, thats why I said I can't see where the buyers can come from.

What is the average no. of Tatts books for these meetings. The tv pictures never give the impression that there is much of a crowd.
By:
ribero1
When: 07 Nov 13 16:37
15-20 imo,now the new stand has been built the 7 books in the county are different class, you also get about 15 turning up on the rails.
By:
adge
When: 07 Nov 13 16:57
the problem is , democrat , that for these meetings there is only one enclosure.
the county stand area is set on it's own , the path is straight between the stands from the parade ring to them .but the public have to bypass the row of rails books to even get to the tatts bookmakers.
By:
Davy Jones
When: 07 Nov 13 17:02
if ribero1 is right then we should buy pick 127 for a £10, and then make the number of books attending 21. The reason that currently over 100 books dont turn up in tatts surely cant be put down to clashes...can it?
By:
545APG
When: 07 Nov 13 17:24
The official number for Tatts is 116 - if they all turned up on an off meeting there'd be no where to put over half of them
By:
democrat
When: 07 Nov 13 17:56
But the Rails books' boards would be facing away from the public to whom you refer wouldn't they adge ?
