Thought AP did a good job there. 6 lengths clear and ploughed through the 3rd and 2nd. Great jockeyship.

Yes I agree with that, but also his approach to last flight (and not for the first time in his career) not seeing a stride. He is not one I trust at all. I`m sure people remember over C/D last season on Swynmor

he  did  ride  an ill judged  race ....however , he  wont  be  suspended  for  riding  an ill  judged  race  simply because  the  stewards  have  no  authority  to do that ..it  isnt against  the  rules  at this time .  I suppose  one  reason  is that they  would be  suspending  half a  dozen  jockeys a  race  on occcasions . It  is highlighted  of  course  in this  instance  because  it  was a heavily  backed  favourite.

how can chapman not mention any of the above post race, instead saying mccoy was on the best horse in the race and would have hosed up but for a mistake at the last.

WTF is chapman on about every chance at last. The race was lost in the first 2 miles not the last 2 hurdles.

I had no financial interest in this race but I have to say it was shocking.
Berkeley Baron had won over further on a softer surface at Newbury and although held up that day,Johnson took it up 3 out.
How he decided to hold him up 20 lengths off it today when the pace was a realistic one with the front runner finishing a head away in third is baffling.The mistakes at the last 2 flights were caused by taking off at the wrong stride which completely stopped his momentum twice and he still didn't seem to be giving it everything on the short run in on a confirmed stayer.

The ride was at best one of the most incompetent rides you're likely to see from a professional.

he wasn´t much better in the last race.

he has to go and look at today's replays and hopefully learn from what he sees.  don't know if he was out last night but today certainly wasn't his best day in the saddle

Gave Berkeley Baron a shocker, and not much better on Hello George in the last
