To tell a sad tale:

Once there was a wannabee punter called mfordy, who liked to blame bookies for the fact he was unable to win money backing horses (see oft-repeated quote from M Ford, West Midlands, in Henry R1x's happy customers literature).  Try as he might, he could not beat the evil empire of Ladbr0kes, so he heard about Betfair and it's renown forum.  Try as he might, he could not get himself taken seriously by the forum intelligentsia, despite all his efforts to ingratiate himself to them. Not for him an understanding of the Rule 4 law on deductions for withdrawn horses prior to the start.  Not for him any kind of proper understanding of betting mathematics (see above for further proof that Our Hero has no clue how to compute place odds when betting each-way).  Not for him (sadly) acceptance by the forum as a whole.

And lo! mfordy discovers Tipping Services, where all your wasted efforts studying form and arriving at erroneous deductions (and continuing to blame bookmakers for this) are consigned to history.  Not only that, but mfordy discovers Other Tipsters, whose thoughts are available freely on the 'net or in the daily papers. Such Chapman of Golf, Taylor of Horse and Tom of Seagull.

So mfordy now has a purpose - to bring to the attention of the wider world these undiscovered gems.  But - avast -  he finds ridicule and opprobrium AGAIN on the forum.  Not for him the adulation and admiration of the forum for highlighting Tipping Services.  Worse, he is banished for mentioning Henry of Rix.  At least attention in the form of dislike was better than no attention, wasn't it?  That is, after all, how mfordy related to other children in his formative years.  So he returns, in a new guise, that of ascotboy, to share with the forum the deeds and heroics of Other Tipsters (having been forbidden from mentioning Tipping Services).

And to this day, ascotboy, windsorboy, and his other guises seek to spread the word of Other Tipsters, against a scornful and disrespecting forum.  But mfordy knows that the message will out, and he will one day take his place in the forum as Knowing Sage, rather than Village Idiot.

Is he the messiah in your opinion Poorpup?
