Indeed and a little but luckier than Eva Moscrop earlier on but that little bit is all it take to make all the difference in the end.

No doubt if Kirby had failed to get up there would be those rushing on here to claim he was "at it" and didn't want to win.

i just think they probably would have said why not go up the far rail when you know you have a ton left and there is a clear passage than risk not getting out pulling out wider

a bit harsh on him, not a lot he could have done different there imo, just the way the race panned out.

If you grab the rail you may need a bit of luck, if it doesn`t come you can`t always blame the rider...

If he had lost that race he would have been very unlucky.

the leader had moved off the rail at the point i am referring

he decided to switch out it wasn't necessary, ie the run was clear up the rails

worked out ok anyway

hindsight is a wonderful thing,decision made in a split second

especially round there,where they tend to fan out, for me he looked in the perfect position turning in. i cant remember many hugging the rails to win up the straight.

the thing is he had a run up the rail and a stone in hand = wins easily no dramas

It looked to me thought that he went for the run up the rail and then had it closed off.

talking about turning in to the straight ima, for me his hand was forced to go there halfway up the straight

initially the clear route was up the rails

he moved out and got in a bit of a tussle then moved back in but then got cut off

The leader was rolling about a bit before the bend and Kirby probably didn`t want to be on that horses inside beibg stuffed on the rails.

His point was proven when he did get the rails and The Dukkerer did roll inwards and block his passage.
