dvd recorder help required

just do it on normal speed. it will work then.

My mum has a Panasonic DVD/HDD and has the same problem.  She can only record high speed in 4:3 format and not in widescreen.  Bit crap really.  I've got a Sony which doesn't have this problem

Thanks for the replys guys still nou further forward, roger the reason i want to use the hard drive is i have lost count of the times where i have 7 or 8 meetings on a disc only for the disc to be corrupt os jusy simply not work. At least if its on the hd then i can discard the disc and hopefully copy at high speed on to another disc.

what happens when your hard drive is full?

i see what you mean, so the speed is whats important for you. i tried to do it on high speed nd it wouldnt work. Go into one of those tv shops nd see if they have can help.

I only got the dvd yesterday and still feeling my way a bit, i can still record direct on to the disc without using the hd which means that i can at least keep up to date with the recordings, that doesn't help for editing or when one of the discs turns tempramental.You would think that these things would be more straightforward.
