I am not a supporter of engaging in conflicts just for the sake of it and I am certainly no Tory supporter but everyone seems to forget about the innocents in all of this mess who are being maimed and killed - are we simply going to leave them for the Assad regime to commit genocide against his own population - a sad day for democracy

what else did you expect there has not been a conflict since the end of the 2nd world war where they have not been involved in either directly or behind the scene's funding one side or the other, come to think of it they bankrolled both the uk and germany in that conflict. mind you there was not a problem when they used chemical warfare in vietnam , well except they lost of course

Unless we have a UN (United) police force for these kind of things where the police actually stick to the rules themselves we will continue to get this kind of thing happening for ever more. It should be a case of all in all of the time or noses out all of the time. Cherry picking where to become involved out of self interest. Sad to see innocents being tortured murdered and gassed in the 21st century .

The UN are about as much use as that other shower of namby pambies called the Labour party. It wasn't a veto vote at all, it was simply political posturing, with a view to gaining more crosses in ballot boxes at the next election.
