It's very interesting that Betfair have apparently gone off to Twitter to give out their announcements.
Funnily enough I do have a Twitter account but I can't really understand it so just pick up bits.
There are two issues which affect me that seem to be being raised there. Firstly the LV for US racing,where I do 80% or more of my actual betting,has not been working for 5 nights now. The last time they deigned to put up an announcement on the forum was 4 days ago when their engineers were working on it " urgently " Hmmmmm.
The other thing is that from at least yesterday morning a fair number of people,including me,have not been able to withdraw money. That is unusual tbf. So unusual that you would expect some sort of announcement on the forum but I can't find anything.
I think they are no longer interested. A BCM4 cropped up a few weeks ago sounding all enthusiastic,answered a few questions and then seems to have totally disappeared. Perhaps they were TOO enthusiastic ?

I must admit I was away over the weekend sparrow. I tried to withdraw 100 quid early on last night and was knocked back. I eventually found a thread on football about it but didn't notice anything from " the authorities ". I suppose if they are having fraud problems it might well be acceptable to put a temporary block on certain types of account but could they not notify the 99% of us who are being inconvenienced and are likely to be completely innocent ?

The withdrawal issue is going to become really serious if they don't sort it out soon. Various people have given transcripts of conversations with the Helpdesk which haven't been helpful. It LOOKS as though one or two people may have been scamming Betfair rather than their customers but it is now the customers,the vast majority of whom will be perfectly innocent,who are being affected. In certain circumstances I might be prepared to accept that Betfair were acting correctly but it is the lack of transparency that is both annoying and these days all too typical. I would expect an e-mail or at least an announcement on here.
