The trainer gets a winner as often as royal baby is born. What do they be messing around for? Most likely story is he saw there was an even money shot this morning and chickened out..

The way the race played out was a nightmare for connections.
He must be a tidy apprentice to conjure a losing move on that without standing up in saddle and yanking it back.

Easy gold, don't see why this wouldn't have a chance to win a maiden in Galway. This was a decent maiden. The second was a highly rated horse on the flat and not so long ago finished 3 lengths off Camelot. Massini's is obviously in good nick and you need to be at your peak to win in Galway. I'm not saying he's a good thing to win there but being a strong finisher here off a strong pace I think he might get a good pace at Galway with a stiff uphill finish.

Em, there is only a couple of maiden hurdle races at the festival, and you need a better horse than this fellow to win around there. And this race is a very poor contest (the winner made five errors and still won) and NEVER take ratings on the flat and bring them to N.Hunt NEVER.

That is a shocking ban given the performance by The Misses Mangan and Walsh a few weeks back when they let one go miles off in front. Poor judgement by the lad which is no different from their performances IMO. As we have come to expect , consistency doesn't seem to apply from one day to the next.

must be a poor trainer to not have known the ability of the horse , and to have run it as a non jigger . if i was the owner i would be fuming , could have had a nice touch at a big price , or at least had a go .

Massini's Trap (IRE) 25/1 4 10-9 J A Nash — — Thomas Doran7
Held up in rear, remote 8th before 2 out, went 6th between last 2 and still plenty to do travelling well in moderate 5th before last, stayed on strongly without threatening principals, nearest finish
ANALYSIS --------
The run ofMassini´s Trap caught many an eye, including that of the stewards. His rider only got after the strong traveller in the closing stages and he flashed home, albeit all too late. Irrespective of what one thinks, this suggests that the four-year-old is finally going to build on his debut run in a 1m maiden last year.
