Dont think Cumani will be using Fallon for much longer ,several other owners dont seem to want him on either if the decs are anything to go by over the last week or so.

He is a bad egg pure and simple and anyone that looks at the people that he hangs out with will quickly draw the same conclusion. What he did to the Late Sir Henry Cecil ranking right up with the more Rancid things

I wonder what ride finally did it. What was the one a few weeks ago that Milzarek won on that was a bit suss.

"Afsare not going in the stalls at Goodwood - the final straw imo"
bit hard to blame Fallon for that, but as you say the final straw - may have been other things. "What he did to the Late Sir Henry Cecil" (?) I think that was one thing Fallon didn't do, and didn't he get paid a large cash settlement out of court to compensate. But agree he is a bad egg, a great jockey but messed it up for himself so many times, he won't change now, Fallon is Fallon. |

By:
Fallon is and will always be his own worst enemy.

I apologize then, Delta. I think it would be very harsh if this was the final straw. Especially seeing how this horse played up at the start at Royal Ascot when Richard Hughes was on board and then ran no sort of race. That horse is starting to look a very tricky character.

Always thought this owners horses have been singled out.Seem plenty drift on here and never been given an earthly in the race. Maybe he thought
because the owner was living so far away he wouldn't notice. Thankfully he has but feel Obaid has been getting turned over for a few years. |

Isn't this old news but only now going on record, yet totally pointless and just a case of an owner not knowing when his horses really aren't that good?
Hows did the replacement jockeys do on his horses at Royal Ascot? From memory both Hughes and Spencer were beaten with the first horse being a winner only 4 times from 15 starts, (3 with Fallon on) wins it's maiden under him on second start, tries a Conditions race and wins, tries a Listed race and wins again under Fallon, tries Gr3 races and is beaten, tries Gr2 races and is beaten ad surprise surprise, tries Gr1s and in beaten both under Fallon and Hughes. The one Spencer rode was suppose to be the owner's 1000gns filly, runs poorly in her trial with Fallon on and then Spencer is still beaten on it even though dropped to a handicap at Royal Ascot, but somehow that's all Fallon's fault and nothing to do with an owner having a mental block regarding his horses. Although the very same owner didn't seem too upset when Fallon won a Gr3 at Chester for him on Dandana, coming from last to first when being the first runner off the bridle but Fallon kept at her instead of giving up. Others from the yard but for different owners like Greatwood and Mount Athos also flopped at Royal Ascot too. This owner hasn't really had a decent horse since High Rise won the Derby (and even that's open to question) and his last 4 runners in the past 14 days have been Makafeh beaten with James Doyle up, Soryah beaten with Richard Hughes up, Jumaira Tower trained in Ireland by John Oxx and beaten with Niall McCullagh up (that was probably Fallon's fault too lol) and Sharqawiyah beaten with Kirsty Milczarek up. Fallon last rode a for Cumani on 21st June which happened to be a winner but hasn't been on one of the yard's since but they have had 19 more runners up until 2nd July when they then had a double from 3 runners, but between that time Spencer had been beaten on 4 from 4, Lee beaten on 1 from 1, Hughes was beaten on 2 from 2, Makin was beaten on 2 from 2, Milczarek was beaten on 5 from 5, Hills beaten on 1 from 1 and Doyle beaten on 2 from 2 so the jockey changes are clearly working a treat then! I'd also say Fallon wasn't on some of the Cumani horse in the last week because he was banned for 5 days and what exactly is it that some people still think he is suppose to have done to Henry Cecil anyway? |

Sad to watch him these days....as an Irishman i'd like to see him do well but the bottom line is that owners don't trust him....he's only got himself to blame for that.
Even in his pomp riding for Stoute.... Maktoum Al Mak didn't want him near his horses. |
|
By:
Hard to fathom what he has done wrong now.
Mind you out with the old and in with the new is long overdue. The best since piggott but natural decline is a major factor and probably a party or two and failing to honour commitments is probably behind the decision. Plenty of great young jocks around now so let them get their chance. |
|

I think it is a shame that a once great rider is still riding when his best
days are far behind him, if he is still riding because he needs the fees to live on that is also a shame, if on the other hand he can survive without the fees earned by being in the saddle he should pack in sooner rather than later. By the way in my 60 odd years on the turf Fallon at his best was easily amongst the top 10 jockeys I ever saw ride. |

For those not aware of what happened 14 years , involving Henry Cecil's then wife and Fallon see the link below.

|
By:
For those like Tinkler that aren't aware of what happened after that.
His second marriage fractured after the press reported that his wife had had an affair with an unnamed jockey. Cecil dispensed with the services of his stable jockey, Kieren Fallon, who later won a £300,000 out-of-court settlement for unfair dismissal. |
|
By:
Fully aware of what happened after that.
|
|
By:
S & C - weighed in. Wouldn't expect to get more of a defence from his Agent. Sadly, despite what must be time consuming efforts those that matter don't appear to be taking much notice as Fallon continues to feed off scraps from the likes of Brian Meehan.
|
|
By:
Fallon is still good enough if the horse is,problem is finding the horse that is good enough.
|
|
By:
I'm sure when he finishes riding there will be a job for him in the BHA Integrity Department.
|
|
By:
The main thing wrong with that story tinkler is that Fallon did actually deny it so would probably explain why he was prepared to take Henry Cecil to court for unfair dismissal with Cecil settling out of court to a six-figure sum as rightly mentioned above Marcce.
No great prediction from starfish and coffee there differentdrum if anyone has followed these Fallon threads for any length of time and certainly no greater than me predicting starfish and coffee and others would have negative views on Fallon, or that starfish and coffee would mention me posting in the thread, seeing as though I usually do and he's previously mentioned I will anyway in other threads. I could just as easily ask for 1.01 a dozen time a year that someone will mention the Ballinger Ridge ride was dodgy or mention Fallon and Natalie Cecil. I could also have come on here and told everyone to back Frankel too whenever the horse ran but I wouldn't exactly expect people to think I was some kind of tipping genius for it. ![]() As for some of the p1ss poor attempts at sensationalist journalism regarding Fallon being "sacked" by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, how exactly do you sack someone you don't even employ? Fallon isn't retained by him, he's employed as Luca Cumani's stable jockey. If Fallon not riding these horses now is due to Afsare not going into the stalls at Goodwood then that's just laughable! |
|
By:
Does anyone stop to think it might not be anything to do with his riding ability but the guys despicable character?
Probably treats owners with disdain. Not immune to pulling fellow jockeys off horses, threatening tv reporters with his whip while giving him a stare that would scare off an attacking grizzly bear. Didn't one owner go to give him a smack in the parade ring after a race?. |
|

A few facts here but why let them get in the way of a good story eh?

Was pretty much accepted as fact at the time, what happened between Sir Henry's wife and Fallon. Sir Henry doubtless didnt want to get dragged
through the courts being quite a private man . Also as it didnt relate to his riding , Fallons brief no doubt told him they had a decent case and to try an extract as much money out of Sir Henry as they could. Unfortunately they did get there grubby paws on a decent chunk on Sir Henry's money. |

Sorry to disappoint you tinkler and have all of the bitterness you clearly hold go to waste, but the only flaw in your story above is that the said incident happened after a meeting in Ireland when Natalie Cecil was over there on work related business, whilst Fallon was riding at Goodwood's 5 meeting for that week as well as at various evening meetings too.
Oh and in case the link above doesn't work, Fallon pulled Stuart Webster off his horse after they had crossed the line because he had tried to put a a young apprentice over the rail during the race. Fallon was also paid damages after the publishers of Webster's book repeated false claims that Fallon had carried out an unprovoked attack on him back in the weighing room. The owner who punched Fallon wasn't one he rode for and also punched another owner that day too after his horse struck into Fallon's mount, causing that horse to become lame. The owner later wrote an apology letter to Fallon admitting he was wrong after seeing the race video the next day but was still banned and fined £10k for his part in it all. |
