Report wallis • June 15, 2013 4:30 PM BST
Not often I wish ill on someone but I will make an exception after watching the replays of that. Utterly disgraceful from Durcan.

WAS awful
Report Aviboyd • June 15, 2013 4:32 PM BST
He's not known as Dead Durcan 'The riding corpse' for nothing FFS.
Report Barton Bank • June 15, 2013 4:33 PM BST
Rode a horse for me once. Would never ever book him again.
Report sparrow • June 15, 2013 4:33 PM BST
Jockeys are getting away with it all the time with 3rd placed horses.
Report arrested development • June 15, 2013 4:33 PM BST
Keep us posted as to what the stewards do...absolutely shocking
Report reculver • June 15, 2013 4:33 PM BST
Pulled it so fancied stablemate could get placed.
No other excuse.will the stewards inquire.?
Report reculver • June 15, 2013 4:34 PM BST
Could i phone the track and complain about the ride.?
Report Pots11 • June 15, 2013 4:54 PM BST
Could you also phone and complain about the ride Fallon gave Hoof It at York in Aug 2010 and did likewise. Nobody said fa that day and it was even more blatant.
Report saddo • June 15, 2013 6:44 PM BST
The Stewards held an enquiry to consider why Ted Durcan, the rider of BARREN BROOK, unplaced, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post and finished fifth beaten a head for fourth place. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race they noted his explanation that he was denied a clear run in the closing stages of the race.
Report Big muff • June 15, 2013 6:50 PM BST
LOLOLOLOL, denied a clear run my ar*e, are these stewards blind??????????? any lesser know jockey would have received a forced holiday
Report saddo • June 15, 2013 6:52 PM BST
I cannot comment, haven't seen the head on, looked a bit too obvious from the side.
Report biffmeister • June 15, 2013 8:22 PM BST
Not just me then, watched the first time thought v dodgy,m then now just watched replay, just as disgusted. No need for a head on IMO, especially as stable mate was gifted the place?
Report reculver • June 15, 2013 8:34 PM BST
The stewards at York should be ordered to Portman Square,
they are either , blind,clueless or *******
Report Celtic Son • June 15, 2013 8:55 PM BST
He's not a jockey I like but it clearly got hampered close to the line. Anyone saying anything else will hope he doesn't read this thread and then organise a lawyer.
Report laynplay • June 15, 2013 9:23 PM BST
I also didn't play in the race celtic son but having watched the replay you clearly need to see an optician...and rapid. He eased the horse with no horse around him except the horse that finished 4th which was right next to him.
There is no error involved there, it was blatant and these stewards are killing our game.
dwyer was nearly lynched in india for far less than that.
Report saddo • June 15, 2013 9:36 PM BST
Have you seen the head on?
Report turnip turns • June 15, 2013 9:37 PM BST

Celtic son...it didnt seem to appear to suffer significant interference to cause Ted to ease up, this is not however  a suggestion of any skulduggery its simply an observation
Report highgosforthpark • June 16, 2013 3:14 AM BST
Backed it pre race and in running when it settled well (by its standards) durcan done everything right up until approx 2 out when he made a couple of 50/50 decisions that backfired and was made to look silly close home when easing for a place (imo the only 'crime' he's guilty of, the rest was down to bad luck/circumstance, make no mistake it was 'off' today and was just unlucky (i know that doesn't wash with the forum massive but its true!)

nothing to see here other than a journeyman jock confirming his averageness
poor 'spittin' will have to get it out the way for a bit now :)
