all you wingers on here, seem to forget if you can't get it on here- where you are constrained by appalling liquidity levels, its only then that you turn to bookmakers. and then very often for when we are out of line with the exchange. ie 9/2 when it's 4 on here and you expect to get a nice free arb off our backs.i do agree Hills and such have become rather pathetic about many bets they should not restrict, of course i agree there. But moist of the whining on here isn't from the genuine client- it's the traders bleating they can't make profits off the bookies backi don't see one complaint on this thread about why you can't get what you want on Betfair. oh nomight i suggest an afternoon at the cinema?

The life long question, of why you have something at 9/2 when it is 4 on here still remains.

If it is 4 on here and you are offering 4.50, it makes perfect sense to bet with you.  You are advertising a price, wanting people to back at that price, and then closing down people that do bet at that price.

The day somebody with an IQ over 80 decides to become a bookie, the better for all of us.

Well said artie - and surely a winner's a winner. There is plenty of liquidity before and during a race. Bet in-play , you'll get some fantastic prices, most times many times better than anywhere else. And if you wait long enough your 'winner' will get to 1000/1! Can't get better value.

I bet approx. 30K with 365 over a 3 month period and they never restricted my bets. During the same period I returned 31K, so I`m 1K in front. I suppose my figures are good for overall turnover and it has only cost them 1K. Started with a deposit of £50. They only restrict bets if you only bet with them when they are best price and withdraw winnings and run.

The Mighty Mac, rightly or wrongly, they think you are going to lose eventually.

They restrict bets if they think you are going to beat them in the long run - nothing else...
