The British Horseracing Authority (BHA) has received an application from Saeed bin Suroor for Moulton Paddocks stables to be included as an additional yard on his training licence on a temporary basis.

Speaking regarding the licensing status of Moulton Paddocks, Adam Brickell, Director of Integrity, Legal and Risk for the BHA, said:

"We have informed Saeed bin Suroor and Godolphin that the BHA will not be relicensing the yard until the test results are known for all the Godolphin owned horses stabled in Newmarket."

Under the Rules of Racing, upon the approval of any licence for the establishment, no horses at Moulton Paddocks will be permitted to run for a period of 14 days. Separately, the 15 horses known to have been administered with either Ethylestranol or Stanozolol have been suspended from running in races for a period of six months, with effect from Tuesday 9th April 2013.

Moulton Paddocks is the yard which was formerly under the care of Mahmood Al Zarooni, and has been unlicensed since a disqualification of eight years was imposed on him by the Disciplinary Panel of the BHA on 25th April 2013

That seems like guilty before being proven innocent.

Rollo, I thought the same.

surely the sensible thing to do, await the blood tests for the rest of the stable before passing the application.
Report JOHNRO May 9, 2013 2:35 PM BST
None of the effected stables should be running horses on our race courses just shows the total corruption of this sport.
Report JOHNRO May 9, 2013 2:37 PM BST
The only thing that matters in our horse racing is money nothing else.
Report Rollo Tomasi May 9, 2013 2:38 PM BST
Until Saeed bin Suroor has actually been found guilty of doing anything wrong, he should be allowed to do what he wants.
Report JOHNRO May 9, 2013 2:40 PM BST
All Godolphin owned horses should not be racing on our courses for six months until everything is resolved.
Report the dealer May 9, 2013 2:40 PM BST
but surely its the horses not him?
Report the dealer May 9, 2013 2:42 PM BST
where are they accusing him. if they dont check the rest of the horses and in the furture they had tested positive because of the previous trainer, imagine the uproar.
Report JOHNRO May 9, 2013 2:46 PM BST
HONOURABLE PEOPLE WOULD WITHDRAW ALL THE STABLES UNTIL EVERYTHING IS RESOLVED.
Report Rollo Tomasi May 9, 2013 2:46 PM BST
Wasn't Nicky Henderson banned for something? Did the owners of his horses have to have all their horses tested at other stables? Were the trainers of those other horses prevented from doing anything?
Report the dealer May 9, 2013 2:48 PM BST
RT its not his stables.

are you takin the piss
Report the dealer May 9, 2013 2:50 PM BST
so dope a whole stable and as long as you change the trainer thats ok LaughLaugh
Report Rollo Tomasi May 9, 2013 2:50 PM BST
What have Saeed bin Suroor or Godolphin been found guilty of and how much have they been fined?
Report JOHNRO May 9, 2013 2:51 PM BST
I was in Arabia where they always boasted about the perfect breed and how it had to be kept pure.
Has this now fallen by the wayside?
Report the dealer May 9, 2013 2:52 PM BST
