Nearly made a complete mess of that - why showboat and win by a short head rather than half a length. Tipped up Hippy Hippy Shake this morning presumably a four-timer already in the bag?

A slice of bread maybe for certain people to wipe the egg off their faces?
As for being back well he never went away (except maybe when he was banned lol) he just wasn't getting the rides but still showed with his 2 Gr1 wins last season that he can still deliver.

I can assure you nellie1970 that this thread hasn't been the only place people have commented on Fallon in.
So are owners and trainers supposed to elbow out their retained jockey just to give Fallon the ride jimeen?

I expect he knows the Cumani one more than any of the others which limits his knowledge of the others so he's naturally going to go for a horse he feels better able to assess. That doesn't make it a winner though, nor the others losers as evidenced by things today.

I assume he was asked what he thought his best chance was of having a winner was and apart from best chance doesn't mean it's an automatic winner, if the others are for outside stables and he has more knowledge of the ones he rides at home, then that narrows his options and you would expect him to pick the ones he is more familiar with.
Imagine the furore and accusations of putting punters away if he tipped an outside stable loser and then won on a Cumani horse.
It doesn't really matter with Fallon though as it's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't because for many their minds are already made up regardless.

What you are saying is that he should have said,"i havent a clue about some of my rides, the one i ride for Cumani i do know about but i dont know anything about the opposition,in other words i dont have a clue about anything"

Er no jimeen, what I'm saying is if he was asked what he thought was his best chance of a winner then even if he thought he would draw a blank on the day, he still must have one that he think is his best chance and presumably he assesses that based on what he knows and not what he doesn't know.

fallon was one of the best of all time but racing is different to what it once was it's called horse racing but is it half the field is trying not to win and some to not even get placed see it everyday.
