quick question please re "inhy"

I reckon it's a spelling mistake, and that the 'Y' shouldn't be there.

That race was open to horses that have not run in a race under any rules of racing according to the RP

What the "Y" stands for, I don't know. Maybe similar to the British "Newcomers" NHF

ah right, that Y was puzzling me too - thanks

Clutching at straws here, but may stand for "yearly", seeing that it's a memorial race, "y" could indicate that it's going to be an ongoing future race, whereas other races/cards can change yearly, bequest may have been made to the racecourse to hold the race yearly. It wasn't ran in 2012, so no back reference to confirm, like I said just clutching at straws.

Ged, may have hit the nail on the head.

and who said you could get off the naughty step Mr GTG!?

tut tut tut.

Given the proximity of the letters on a keyboard it looks like someone has hit the 'H' and the 'Y' keys simultaneously.

Simply an INH race at.....
