Graham Gibbons was fined £960 after appearing at Scarborough Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old rider was arrested by officers from West Midlands Police at Wolverhampton racecourse on Monday after failing to answer a drunk and disorderly charge in court last week.
The arrest was carried out on behalf of North Yorkshire Police who confirmed Gibbons had failed to attend Scarborough Magistrates Court on (Friday) April 26, with the offence reported to have occurred in Norton earlier in the month.
Gibbons was also subsequently charged with failing to surrender to police bail and failing to answer bail as soon as practicable.
He was fined £960 on the bail charge and was ordered to pay a further £85 in costs and £96 victim surcharge. No further penalty was listed for the drunk and disorderly charge.
I used to travel to and fro the races with a Northern trainer and one or two
jockeys, you could virtually guarantee travelling back from Ayr or Hamilton the
jockeys would get half cut on cans of lager and mostly finished up wanting to fight
each other, drunken gits most of them were in those days.
