I presume so, as I don't think he's ever been off the forum for more than 12 hours at a time since he joined. He craves the attention.

Smar Tarse - wouldn't even know when to begin looking at the threads, can you enlighten us please?

I thought he was entertaining. He certainly knew how to pull a few of your strings
Yep, after-timing and lying about results to try to con people out of money down the line, he really is a barrel of laffs. |

Gonzo - it was in the first week of the comp when people were asking about the rules. Beginning of November.
This was the update thread in the Comps forum http://community.betfair.com/your_competitions/go/thread/view/94214/29470811/2012-13-aw-competition-overall-monthly-leaderboards347?pg=1 |

Stats, the bully boys you refer to, were telling the truth about a liar, who was using the forum as a launch platform to sell his tips, on a daily basis he lied and aftertimed, started new threads in the hope that the huge losses contained therein would disappear and his true abilities would be hidden from prospective mugs that would pay for his krapp. These are not "stats" but actual facts. Had he adhered to the rules of Betfair, he would still be here, he didn't, he's not, he was the author of his own destiny, nothing to do with anybody else.
|
|
By:
Oh right, that explains a lot then. I personally didn't ever see any reference with regards selling his tips hence my post.
Thanks for the explanation GandalfTheGrey |

Gandalf puts it perfectly.

"Persons interested in these ratings supplied on a regular basis can private message me for
terms once you have reviewed the performance of thee tips on this thread . tally ho." His words Stats, from last year when he was warned off by betfair, he then came out and was issuing "I will not make any attempt to sell these tips on here in the future" disclaimers on his following threads, when he thought the heat died down, he deserted the thread at minus 16,000 losses and started a new thread and so on each time the losses grew, only recently when someone asked him about him never backing so why bother putting up selections and never backing them, he stated in words to the effect that they would provide him with "riches" in other ways. |

![]() Well that's certainly shut me up! Thanks Gandalf |

I wonder who in their right mind would actually pay
for b/f's tipsthey would have to be madder than he was.....or very desperate imo I think he saw excel as a good tool for manipulating statistics... and horse rating does have a lot of statistics unfortunately I do not think he had any idea what they meant.. He may do better at greyhound racing...if he takes the trouble to learn about it first less variables I know he had half the forum tearing their hair out but he did make me laugh so all the best b/f ![]() wherever you may be |

By:
He only moved on to the horses after he'd had a go at the greyhounds

bf_fananatic 'cut his teeth' over on the General Betting forum. This contribution was posted just two days after his forum-joining date.
http://community.betfair.com/general_betting/go/thread/view/94082/28031101/are-our-funds-100-ring-fenced?origpost_id=502813229&pg=2 bf_fananatic 19 Jul 11 01:13 well fafh, if you were in my boots you would have a different outlook on all the recent upheaval regarding the pc hike, I have a story to tell also but to cut a long story short i am probably the owner of the most accurate and profitable greyhound racing application on this planet, been involved with racing software design since before the pc came into being and through a few decades. here are the performance figures for my app average points profit per greyhound meeting = 18-22(variable to track) average back strike rate = 28% average lay strike rate = 90% average weekly points profit = 600 plus i currently have prediction models for the top 13 greyhound tracks over 4 bend races. do you honestly think I want to use the application on a site that wants too suck up my profits and gain from my hard work just because they can? my head and my heart tell me that to use my application on betfair under the current perverted ethos on winning and funds manipulation is wrong and why should i add more liquidity to a site that then will repay me my taking my winnings, not theres from me. when your skills fafh get as big as your mouth then i am sure everybody will take you seriously but my only current concern is that i am struggling to take the betfair exchange as a good place to win anymore. at least I am in a lucky position at the moment in that i havent used my application on here and attained 250,000 profits so perhaps I like many others will take the simple step that if another sites liquidity is 25% that of betfairs to win 2.5 factor more profit then its a no-brainer just where i am heading, and what of betfair minus the top bettors liquidity, well for one thing market accuracy will certainly drop so dont rely on prices as muxh as a guide, all you price junkies will be thunb twidling more for less profits agains higher premium charge so betfair will become the excahge were only losers are welcome and expected |

I must admit I quite liked the guy in a strange sort of way although his reluctance to answer any questions regarding the workings of his horse racing ratings was frustrating to say the least. The only way I could vent my frustration was by posting the occasional mickey-taking photo. Made me feel better but he obviously didn't give a 'toss' and I'm sure he wouldn't mind me posting another rib-tickler that he launched just 17 minutes after the one I put up a few minutes ago.
bf_fananatic 19 Jul 11 01:30 yeah make you think doesnt it, i have dreamed, thought, lived and breathed greyhound racing for years created rating systems that are unique based on form, created concepts in prediction modeling that didnt exist before, made discoveries in factor interpretation that i cant find anywhere else but i didnt do it all to have other persons are orginisations tell me i dont deserve to win, i am a born winner, i know nothing else, and i shall seek this planet for any exchange that can handle me, but i am perplexed with betfair, do they want winners are do they just want everything for themselves for without winners and the desire too win i cant see how as an exchange they can survive the next x quarters of business |

Well he certainly made significant progress in less than 2 years. He went from.... claiming to be a top pro punter with an in-depth knowledge of racing, and a computer expert who has been creating racing software for decades that made thousands of points profit every year.... to someone who doesn't bet (apart from the occasional 2 quid), has relentless fun playing with Adrian Massey-supplied data and facilities, keeps all his data in Notepad and Excel, didn't understand racing but liked playing with numbers, and whose life was about trying to break into the top 10 in the AW Comp, and inventing a new system a week as soon as old one went into the red. And somewhere along the way, he acquired a 4yo son (who became a 3yo son a couple of hours later), who then disappeared again.
At best, he compares favourably with Tommo - an unbreachable hide, an undentable ego, a playful sense of humour - but we don't have to put up with his face or his voice. |
