I assume its for the redevelopment?

Just got the email.

whats the deal with the 7.75% interest? can't they just give me that in full? whats this 4.75% cash and the rest in points I can use when I go racing in after the 007 matures.

i just think if it was worthwhile the rich racehorse owners would have snapped the bonds up before they were offered to the ordinary punter

Gets the 'thumbs down' in the financial mail, for that reason...no thanks.

If I gave you 10k could you make 475 in 5 years on here?
Report posy • April 29, 2013 3:05 PM BST
In answer to your question I would think 100% of people on here would say 'yes' they could make that return...in reality about 5% would succeed.

In all seriousness the bond is worth considering.

only in trouble if the JC goes bust and seeing as they've been around for years can't see that. 5k earns £190 after tax and £150 in points again after tax. Both are distributed quarterly.

Woolworths had been around for years, hth

A defunct High St store is not a comparison...Retail bonds can be with floated companies, the Jockey club is not so will neither rise or fall just a fixed rate of 7.75. You cannot compare defunct high st stores with the racecourse offer, totally different.

you have to tie up your money in racing  for 5 years . the only thing i'd like to tie up in racing is rebecca curtis .
Report mrcombustible • April 29, 2013 7:21 PM BST
There is no market for these bonds so you must hold for 5 years
