Ruby wouldnt have let that happen
Report Fela Kuti • April 27, 2013 2:42 PM BST
I take it you backed Sanctuaire
Report Dr Gonzo • April 27, 2013 2:44 PM BST
What's he supposed to do, hold all the other horses up until Sanctuaire decides he feels like going?
Report Barton Bank • April 27, 2013 2:45 PM BST
The horse is a massive pig, shouldn't pander to him.
Report Captain Christy • April 27, 2013 2:46 PM BST
They should give these whankers clear instructions, 10 lengths at least behind the others, shouldn't have been allowed to start
Report Footiefan111 • April 27, 2013 2:47 PM BST
millions of pound gambled on these races and they still allow this to happen
Report xmoneyx • April 27, 2013 2:48 PM BST
place backers hurt badly
Report Storm Alert • April 27, 2013 2:49 PM BST
Nothing to do with the starter was it!  The starter gace him two chances.  He was being led in way behind the others, that was dwon to the horse/guy leading in/jockey in that order.
Report TRD.Racing • April 27, 2013 2:49 PM BST
Why do they keep holding the horse up  It's a front runner FFS,just let it go from the front,if it gets caught so be it
Report Ibrahima Sonko • April 27, 2013 2:50 PM BST
the only thing the starter did wrong was giving sanctuaire a 2nd chance
Report Dr Gonzo • April 27, 2013 2:50 PM BST
If a horse is 10 lengths behind the rest because of circumstance, then yes, they shouldn't start.

If a horse is 10 lengths behind and having to be led in because it is notorious for refusing to go, then tough.

As I say, what's the starter supposed to do, keep declaring false starts and hinder every other horse, until the other one decides it'll finally go?
Report Angel Gabrial • April 27, 2013 2:51 PM BST
They seem to have ruined this horse.
Report Captain Christy • April 27, 2013 2:51 PM BST
It should be the starters duty to ensure that the horses taking part have an equal chance at the start, if they do not, do not allow them to start, they should be fuct off like bad refs if they do it.
Report Barton Bank • April 27, 2013 2:53 PM BST
On the contrary AG, they have done very well to achieve the heights they have with him. He was giving trouble at the start as much as 2 years ago.

I could never back this horse pre race, better to wait in running.
Report metro john • April 27, 2013 2:59 PM BST
A real skinner for the books(it's saturday again)
Report Fela Kuti • April 27, 2013 3:01 PM BST
The winner was backed though as it was Pricewise
Report FELTFAIR • April 27, 2013 3:01 PM BST
No point blaming anyone but the horse. He`s a dodge pot.
Report Angel Gabrial • April 27, 2013 3:03 PM BST
The winner is really on the up, looks likely to be Sprinter Sacre`s only real challenger next year.
Report metro john • April 27, 2013 3:03 PM BST
The game is going down the pan, drugs, bad jockeys, and slow starts!Wink
Report flyingbolt • April 27, 2013 3:08 PM BST
FFS the horse plays up at the start every time it runs. If you don't know that by now give up. If you do know that you shouldn't be backing it until after he's jumped off.

It ain't frigging rocket science.

Sire de Grugy has as much chance of beating Sprinter Sacre as Luis Suarez does of winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
Report FELTFAIR • April 27, 2013 3:12 PM BST
As Jim McGrath said,"there`s no point arguing with a cynic".
Report metro john • April 27, 2013 3:12 PM BST
Sprinter aint what they think!(his turn too lose will come)

Report metro john • April 27, 2013 3:17 PM BST
if they stop the mother superior delivering the sweetsts, more than a dozen of his will be slowing down.
Report TiptheOdds • April 27, 2013 3:22 PM BST
I thought exactly the same. Keeverfield was still 10 lengths behind the others.
