Which drugs do you think, was it on drugs for the poor runs or 1 that if given that horse will def win - at massive odds with no gamble taking place? I take it the former as the latter would just be plain silly.

@duncan idaho do you know how much it takes to move the market in the Nash?!
Trick question, surely? No money at all: just the sight of the Laddies rep striding purposefully towards the ring.

Firstly, the form was there for all to see, he had run Merrigo to a head with 30l back to the third off a 7lb lower mark 12 months earlier in the Scottish National. A repetition of that and a clear round was always going to mean he'd be very hard to beat. His form in the handful of races in between was all on very soft ground apart from one non-complete, and he's never been much good in soft ground. Doubtless he was trained to peak in the pring as well, as he should be. Add to that the fact the yard was under 10 foot of snow through Feb & early March. The yard wasn't going well because of the snow, and doesn't have a particularly high profile, and he hasn't always been the safest jumper, all of which contributed to him starting a much bigger price than he should have done. The market is also flooded with money from ignoramuses such as yourselves who don't read or understand form.
Secondly, you should think about the people you are insulting a little before making comments like these. Sue Smith is one of the nicest and most honest, hard working people you could ever wish to meet. Harvey is pretty much co-trainer and has put just as much as Sue in over the last 30 years or so, prior to which he was one of Britain's greatest ever sporting achievers. Not everyone is out for a fast buck and ignorant remarks like this are just bang out of order.
