Solwhit the definite form pick. How good is Quevega? She won her benefit race at Cheltenham but was pretty much all out to beat an average field. The ground is probably against the front two.
Reve De Sivola is the obvious one to oppose them with but he was disappointing at Cheltenham and for me he isn't really progressive and for me not quite a Grade 1 horse. I would sooner oppose the favourites with Holywell and Fiveforthree. Admitedly it was only a handicap but Holywell travelled like a dream at Cheltenham and then seemingly improved again at Aintree despite what I thought was a pretty ordinary McCoy ride. He should handle the ground better than most and hopefully reunited with McLernon he can find a few pounds further improvement. Obviously, it needs quite a leap of faith to see Fiveforthree winning at his age but he was top class, has been lightly raced, has plenty of heavy ground form and his reappearance was encouraging. Having said all that I have got nothing right this week. |

yes, differentdrum, and i fear your week is gonna continue in the same vain.
queveaga can only beat whats in front of her, and she came from a near impoosible position to win at chelts this year, you have to give her credit for that |

Good post Differentdrum, like Tai, I hope that your streak of being wrong continues(at least for this race, lol) best of luck with your bets today.

You are probably right. I am hoping that Mad Brian has dug me out of hole by the time this race comes around. Ground much too quick last time, has form with two leading novices and and on that basis the market very much underestimates his chance.

Queveaga will have to much foot, even tho Solwit was a champion hurdle type
can't decide wether to go wading in with a Camel or a tea bag hmmm |

Backed Reve De Sivola for a place this morning. Seeing the ground the way it is I'll probably back it for a win now as well and hope he turns it into a real slog.

Very poor betting judgement as you could of backed Quevaga on betfiar and layed your second selection
as like I said in the thread he had around a 1 in 6 chance and couldn't even make the frame. oh well, clearly you are not professional but well done on scraping a profit.... |

You are some idiot, do you really think I'm going to listen to a lunatic, you can't make a profit from any of your threads and that's throwing two darts at each race, you threw two darts at a 4 horse race today and couldn't find the winner, you're minus 225 points in 4 weeks and that's throwing two darts in each race and your losses are mounting daily. You're seething. Now off you go and find tomorrows losers. That's the only thing that you are "professional" at.

Congratulations, I don't think anyone should lose track that for the majority the aim of betting is to make a profit. Does it really matter too much how that is achieved?
Mare much too good yesterday but I think in the end only two horses have performed. Wouldn't give up on Holywell. Did jump more fluently for McLernon but it was probably one race too many on ground that was softer than ideal. Thankfully, Twinlight and Big Shu (that run in was a nightmare as he was massively the best horse in the race) dug me out yesterday and for a couple of seconds I had hopes of Captain Cutter rounding off a much better day. Today looks very difficult and inclined to give it a swerve. |
