McInnes is also charged with failing to conduct his business with reasonable care and attempting to mislead a BHA investigator.
Owner William Morris has also been charged with misleading investigators.
After leaving McInnes, Commando Scott was trained by Declan Carroll (for who the horse won twice). The BHA investigation established Carroll was unaware of the horse's previous medical history, and he has been absolved of any responsibility and does not face any charges.

So presumably it's not a crime to have the de-nerving surgery carried out, but is a crime to run a horse knowing that it's been carried out.?
Believe that is correct ged - horses that has had a neurectomy is specifically prohibited from running.
Johnson was warned off for 3 years after been found guilty of running Striking Article following a neurectomy.

I imagine it was a blow to the northern racing scene wee eck , but there is no way on gods earth you can have someone running horses like that training , you cant weigh up punishment either by economics .

I guarantee you guys this, most trainers in the North would prefer Hojo and Wyllie
still in business up here they were good for the game. George a big enough financial

Very big loss no doubt about that he cost the northern racing scene a lot , what he did was horrifying and to the wider public tarnished racing a great deal
