theressomepratsonhere - Correct!. Proximity to Plumpton/Fontwell irrelevant. Brighton's thin layer of top soil on solid chalk not likely to stand up well to this winter/spring.

By:
blackbarn not so sure about that as it is downland turf and the roots should go very deep, unless artificial watering has ruined the roots
might just be because that horrible company which runs the course via a lease think this is more profitable and if it were blown up, I would miss the track a huge amount, part of my formative years Mind you I guess I'd get to keep the Brighton Summer Cup forever. ![]() |

The groundstaff have had 6 months to prepare the grass FFS.
If that aint instant dismissal I dont think anyone can ever lose their job under any circumstances ever again. I mean seriously are they YTS boys who get £50 a week and told only to start work in April? What have they been doing `in the name of Allah'. |
|
By:

delta that is very interesting to hear and will have done him the world of good as tactical awareness is so much more part of Aussie racing (due to the tighter tracks)
I have said to john to book him for the weekend if he'd like to but don't know where we are on that score, not that I think it will matter very much, too high in the ratings imo. |

I'm an annual member and live in Sussex and it took me until looking for Thursdays runners last night to find out it had been abandoned.
They are quick enough to send info by post or E-Mail for special offers so why nothing on this? |
