Thought you militant colonials were all for self determination.. So surely if the residents prefer to stay in the UK, join Norway or become independent then you would all be in favour. |

atom burns..aka Alec - "Ballsy" can make as many extra incomes as he likes just like many MP'S do because I would expect and hope that we can attract people to the Chamber that expect to earn proper money because an MP's salary does not pay enough to attract candidates that are good enough..
Incidentally I would not pay Ed Balls minimum wage.. Regarding the expenditure on the Scottish Parliament Building - nothing has ever costed 40 times the estimate..There are ex-Egyptian Kings trying as we speak trying to dig their way out of Sphinxes.... Glasgowcalling Shetland and Orkney will want out because just as you charmers claim the oil so do they.Do you think that they want to subsidise the dole claimants of Edinburgh and Glasgow... |

Snickers, if Shetland stayed in the UK when Scotland became independent it would become an enclave and no oil would be in its waters. This has all been done to death elsewhere.

Regardless of oil.. You are either for self determination or you are not. If you start to pick and chose the circumstances in which you will grant a popular move for independence, then what little credibility you have will sink still further.

No-one to my mind has said that the Shetlands would remain in the UK...
As regards Scottish Independence check out the Referee and Linesmen from Scotland in the Dortmund Malaga match tonight... I have not seen a worse performance since Alec Salmond accidentally claimed for wages and expenses in Two Parliaments... |

Yer country is fcuked homefortea overrun with people you can,t stand can,t find work for will swamp the NHS or what,s left of it when dodgy and co are finished with it an education system that can,t be supported housing stock that is unsustainable I can go on about it we are a country of 5mil people with more than enough to sustain us oh and wave energy/vast shale deposits and a wee drap of oil in the north sea and vast amounts off the west coast if we need to tap into it,Norway comparable to us but without the same resources has a slush fund of 500 billion set aside,your argument about the parliament was bang on and I would hang those responsible but you didn,t mention the MOD in London that has ordered £40 billion of equipment that isn,t/can,t be used sitting in hangars warehouses costing more and more,what about the issuing of licences for the next round of re-newable energy fcuked that up and consumers have to pick up the tab £17 billion so that,s £57 billion for starters,how about that then,keep voting for Dodgy and his mob and you will be right up **** creek hope not cause I have a load of good English friends.

did Wemberlee not go over budget, what about the Olympic Stadium, cost Scottish taxpayers a fortune, now they are going to tear it down and give it to the mighty West Ham for fack all, then their is the new fast rail link, LONDONISTAN to BIRMINGINSTAN costing Scottish taxpayers a fortune just so some ENGLISH and ASIAN business men can save 15 minutes visiting their COUSINS wedding. you couldn't make it up. cheers.
