well I've backed him..if on a going day will be too good for these
Report Fela Kuti April 6, 2013 2:14 PM BST
Much the best horse in the race. 4.0 is a gift. The others won't see which way it's gone
Report Diamond_Joe_Quimby April 6, 2013 2:14 PM BST
Ran stink in the Arkle. Simply couldnt back him at this price after that run
Report mange April 6, 2013 2:14 PM BST
this is his sort of track..............
Report Tallywagger. April 6, 2013 2:14 PM BST
Looks a very decent price
Report GoldCupWinner April 6, 2013 2:14 PM BST
Got him in my placepot but not confident enough to back him. Trainer form a worry but one ran well in Topham.
Report Fela Kuti April 6, 2013 2:21 PM BST
Mugged :-(
Report Diamond_Joe_Quimby April 6, 2013 2:21 PM BST
Went way too soon imho
Report EastLower Gooner April 6, 2013 2:21 PM BST
Gallant....laid off inrunning so no problem. shame. nice ride from Bryan Cooper
Report kefir_man April 6, 2013 2:22 PM BST
could not have found that winner.well done anyone who did
Report dan33 April 6, 2013 2:22 PM BST
J Maguire - oh dear. Cooper cool as a cucumber.
Report TRD.Racing April 6, 2013 2:22 PM BST
How the feck has that won
Report Dr Gonzo April 6, 2013 2:22 PM BST
Ran his heart out as usual. Lovely animal
Report Fela Kuti April 6, 2013 2:22 PM BST
Wouldn't necessarily say he went to soon because that's his style. Plus the winner went with him from the start.
Report Tallywagger. April 6, 2013 2:23 PM BST
Bit unlucky really, Maguire done the right thing early sitting behind the leader, maybe he kicked on a little early, but I thought he had it turning in.
Report Fela Kuti April 6, 2013 2:24 PM BST
I am now officially looking for a big priced horse in the next.
Report morpteh mackem April 6, 2013 2:24 PM BST
feared for overturn coming to last, looked out on his feet.
Report Shrewd_dude April 6, 2013 2:25 PM BST
Did he not hit him with the whip before the turn when he was 3 clear and half a mile left? No need to stoke him up that early.
Report mange April 6, 2013 2:27 PM BST
thia track will suit the Halo Kuti
Report Tallywagger. April 6, 2013 2:27 PM BST
If Maguire had our view and knew the main dangers were making bad mistakes he probably doesn't kick so soon. I can't blame him for kicking on.
Report mange April 6, 2013 2:31 PM BST
Horses cant normally speed up going round a bend........if youv finished the bend & kick U can nick a couple of lenths as there still coming round it.........
Report Fela Kuti April 6, 2013 2:33 PM BST
@Mange I fear I have missed the boat with Halo as I backed it to win in the World hurdle and but for a mistake at the last I think it would have gone close. I just wonder why Geraghty is on Bears Affair and not Oscar Dara. I am leaning towards that one and to two outsiders Any Given Day and American Spin
Report mange April 6, 2013 2:38 PM BST
I won at Chelt without backing a winner i.e.C,Halo large PL 12.5

This track WILL suit it
Report joos April 6, 2013 2:51 PM BST
Like morpteh mackem,I had my fingers crossed that Overturn would not come to grief at the last.Brilliant horse,ALWAYS gives his best.
Report BarryM April 6, 2013 3:08 PM BST
Overturn was robbed of that race by the Clerk of the course and his ridiculous watering policy, which is certainly against the spirit of racing and I thought against the rules, or at least official guidelines. Watering was introduced to prevent injuries and was never intended to allow ground to be made artificially softer than good. It's grossly unfair, if you have a good ground horse it hasn't had a prayer all winter because of the weather, and now the weather finally turns and the authorities still won't let you have a chance.

I simply can't believe they have watered ground that was already well on the soft side of good, and that no-one has much to say about it.
Report mange April 6, 2013 3:12 PM BST
As I posted on another fred...once these grand nat horses realise that they can take the P out the fenced...........some will
Report Try My Best April 6, 2013 3:13 PM BST
Should have missed the Arkle and gone straight to Aintree.Poor judgement from the trainer imo.
