that the riders attempted to line up for the start before being instructed to do so. They interviewed the following riders, Ryan Mahon, Andrew J McNamara, Sam Twiston-Davies, Wayne Hutchinson, Richard Johnson, Daryl Jacob, Paul Townend, Denis O’Regan, Jason Maguire, Bryan J Cooper, Sam Thomas, David Bass, Aidan Coleman, Barry Geraghty, Nick Scholfield, Dougie Costello, Andrew Tinkler, Tom Scudamore, Davy Condon, Martin Ferris, Jamie Moore, Brian Hughes, A E Lynch, Jake Greenall and Wilson Renwick and the Starter and his assistants. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the start the Stewards found the riders in breach of Rule (D)44.4 and suspended them for 1 day as follows: Friday 19 April.

trouble is the starter says no no no no - [ so some jockeys obey and sit back ] - then changes his mind and says go on then and starts them -

even on them restarts today - after the first false one he lets them line up before that line and encroach and the lad hadnt even got the line fixed across - he even dived/fell to the floor to get out of the way of the release
in my view the starter was an imbicele and deserves to be disciplined...unreasonable to place all the blame on the jockeys
