i think too much is being made about the trip, the sire gets plenty that stay further, first hurdle run over the extended two miles is hardly conclusive imo.
can understand the reasoning at the prices though, should be a great race to watch, good luck |
By:
Poppydog - are you still banging that drum in not yet being fully convinced about Sprinter Sacre?
![]() I must admit that I was a bit slow with Kauto Star & Denman but not with this chappie.Hopefully he'll run his race today and change your mind - all the doubters will surely be silenced if he puts in one of his usual exhibitions, as there's some genuine quality in the field. |
By:
I did say, I'm hopeful he will get better and become the 2nd, even 1st best horse in NH history.
But currently the 3rd best NH horse ever??? He should win today, but even then..... |
By:
....and if by any chance he does get beat today, Timeform and their commercially-necessary ratings
will lose a lot of credibility |
By:
If he does get beat today it will be because of the trip not because he has been overrated.....imo.
By:
I get your point about this 'all-time' business, but this is such an exuberant chaser and I haven't seen one that excites me as much - I won't be having a bet but I want to see him run his race and to enjoy the procession.
By:
FB - do you still think there's a chance the trip will find him out?
I can't see it but if that's the case, I'll hold my hands up - even if he still wins! I want to see him hard held or preferably galloping right to the line...and I expect that. |
By:
I still think it's possible,Navel. Particually as he's against the two best two and a half mile chasers around(except maybe for him of course
. He's so good he may well win but I don't think the odds reflect the true situation. |
By:
I think his form is a bit over-rated, but potential to be lots better as he has never been asked any sort of a question. Cue Card sets a good standard over perfect C&D though, I expect a career best from him, running to something in the high 170s. Good bet around 6-4 to be in the first 2. I love Flemanstar, but he's a big old fashioned chasing type and the course might be plenty sharp enough for him.
By:
if he wins today very easily not impossible he could go undefeated for at least next 2 years - Is Big Bucks reord of consecutive wins under threat!
By:
Someone give Kauto a call and get him out of retirement to give him a test. Surely Kauto has had enough of break dancing now.
By:
anybody that could not see him leaving his rivals flat footed at the end game in every 2 mile race, thus a proven stayer
needs to stop betting on horses ![]() |
By:
sounds to me like you need to start
Is it true you dont even bet on here BFF? |
By:
He thrashes everything at 2M so that makes him a proven stayer ?
You are one thick twaat,BF. |
By:
to see if I horse stays any distance only one way of finding out gentleman.....
By:
Tizzard horses running well, travelling beautifully
just saying.... |
By:
Maybe Finian's Rainbow will surprise a few people and he could be the one for the F/C at a decent price - ground's in his favour and he's a C&D winner.
By:
i have decided to lay the win pre race, might trade it if he clouts one early who knows
By:
Poor race last year,NG.
By:
sprinter sacre, cue card 1-2
By:
FB - I realise that, but he's got a higher mark than Cue Card & Flemenstar, who might have a bit of a war up front...it may be run to suit Finian's Rainbow to run on for second place.
I'm having a small dabble on the F/C after having said I won't be having a bet. |

May be the best I'll ever see. Got to admit he's better than Moscow now.
By:
And fair credit to Cue Card ran a great race.
By:
will stay 4m imo....
By:
Staggering really but at least Cue Card proved beyond all doubt that he is the second best chaser on the planet.
By:
Utter class. Cue Card brilliant too.
By:
What would u do with the winner now
By:
Hats off to Sprinter Sacre and connections, especially Geraghty who was perfect for the horse there
By:
Poppydog.
05 Apr 13 14:01 ....and if by any chance he does get beat today, Timeform and their commercially-necessary ratings will lose a lot of credibility just fortunate these hyped horses with their commercially-necessary ratings keep pi$$ing up! keep guessing, Einstein |
By:
if they want to, they can take him to Punchestown - did n't have a hard race exactly.
By:
I think that would be it for the season if he was mine
By:
Great performance from Cue Card again but SS is just something else.
By:
IF you cant spot an exceptional horse with your eyes then don't try programming a computer what ever happens!

What point are you trying to make ? Some of us put up opinions. How does that make us "idiots" ? Congratulations on your 1/3 winner. |
By:
could do the Queen Mother, Ryannair and Cheltenham Gold Cup treble next season
By:
Amazed Nicky is saying that distance is far enough it looks like 3 miles wouldn't be a problem to me.
