Yep, brilliant stuff ! Now are we better sweeping this thread under the carpet and letting it fall off the bottom of the page before the bast@rds get any ideas !

fair play to ruk, great value at 20 notes puts atr to shame with their "recorded races"

no S+C imo
I think the more that know that
a). It has speeded up and therefore hold them to the speed increase
b). See it as an incentive

the better

there's value prices very late in races for the first time since I've been playing but that's always been from home.

33 , people that haven't got an HD tv will need normal pics.
By:

When: 31 Mar 13 15:38
they might have 2 channels

one for HD
and one for non HD

hopefully
By:

When: 31 Mar 13 15:41
r cing , that was my point. If the HD pics are slower than normal pics not many people will buy them.

Are there any examples of channels not having 2 separate iterations for SD and HD?
I cant think of any.
(who cares about HD anyway ffs?)

if HD are the same price , i would imagine pubs , clubs and alot of home users will want HD .

only in-running players will want SD

but surely they know their product....its a betting channel
they'd be fools to jeopodise speed for such frippery.
I can see why channels go HD, but you dont bet much on eastenders IR do you?

If they have 2 channels then we all win, if they compromise then they have truly funked up

They wouldn't just go HD anyway. Still far too many people without HD tv's which would be bad for business hence why Sky sports etc all still have the option of both sd + hd

Live video faster than SIS, RUK same as Turf tv.  No reason to leave the house and play inrunning now.
This can only be good news for liquidity. Even the track players should be happy. Good news for everyone.

You don't need a hd tv to watch a hd channel

Why is the Ruk clock 23 secs behind live time ????

All this should be good news for decent racereaders on and off course but turnover levels dont seem to have increased on the RUK tracks since
it has speeded up.

How can the message get out there?
By:

When: 22 Apr 13 00:19
agreed but the fact liquidity has not increased noticeably implies the in running game is predominantly made up of people who play live or turf not home players ......liquidity appears to be at an all time low and we all know why that is!!!

Representations to BF need to be made by the big PC payers? Or have they.

It is obviously in all there interests to increase liquidity whilst having a fair `tax' system on the huge winners?

what makes you think betfair care??? there are umpteen threads on the general betting forum in recent months from full timers etc all pointing out betfairs arrogance, lack of customer service ethos culture etc...betfair wouldn't even know there was a liquidity problem its management are oblivious to change or critcism
By:

When: 22 Apr 13 09:22
andy , RUK hasn't even had 1 month of speeds being quicker . it's not a very long time so I don't think you can expect liquidity to improve in such a short time . that and the fact that betfiar are not promoting it at all
By:
racingstar
When: 22 Apr 13 10:41
BF have no "ears",merely mouths that say,"we want more,we want more".
They will eventually end up with 100% of FA.
