Have more on here, fcuking ell, I seriously doubt you've ever had a bet, for one thing you wouldn't be p1ssing your pants on here every day about fcuk all if that is your best shot at having a winner, simply following tipsters, good luck you will need it.
Report TiptheOdds March 24, 2013 3:22 PM GMT
CC, 365 are good because they are the first to put up early prices the night before. So, while they might have a horse at 5-1, on BF it will be 7-2 tops. Then said horse gets bet and shortened with 365, ending up 11-4. It doesn´t matter if you wait until just before the race - always assuming you don´t have a job to go to - said horse will never be 5-1.

Take for example that Candlish horse Party Line that won at Newcastle recently. 365 Went 13-2 the night before - to which I got a decent stake - and it ended up winning at 11-10.

By the time there is any liquidity on BF the market has already taken shape, often as a result of corrections to the EPs.

Report WFT March 24, 2013 3:24 PM GMT
So, why given that you know that and they know that would they offer anyone an unlimited bet? FFS, I seriously think I'm talking to some people with very low i.q's here

Perhaps, you might be better off asking them ?

Perhaps, their traders are so poor at their job, they offer early prices to find out their mistakes, and they can change their books. There's plenty of explanation if you care to think about it a little more deeply.

Insulting other people's iqs is a bit rich from what I've seen in your latest posts.

Said horse might be 20/1 on here at the off, the fact is that any horse which wins a race almost invariably does so at a price lower than the night before, so best odds guaranteed is irrelevant.
Report Dr Gonzo March 24, 2013 3:26 PM GMT
Prices don't exist? Just bet nearer the off, overall you'd probably get better prices.

You might get better prices than what the bookmakers are offering near the off. That's a bit different from getting a better price near the off than the bookmakers had on offer when it was priced up.

I said before why they do it. Why employ traders when you can get Joe Public to determine your books ? Just put some fanciful prices up, start laying at small amounts, and watch where the money goes. Then change prices accordingly. The other bookmakers then follow the next, and all keep an eye on the exchanges.

The people they call traders are just the people who say yea or nay, to who gets on and who doesn't. They no longer need anyone to take a real view any more.

The guy at the boot sale is happy he has taken the £5 for his item and sold it otherwise

a) He wouldn't have taken it to the bootsale in the first place but left it at home
b) He would have put a larger price on it in the beginning.

The person who purchases it on Ebay is happy as well otherwise they wouldn't have bid either.

So where is the problem?

Now if i get this right that is basically the epitome of what is called Arbing?

Bookie puts up a price that you can back , i.e he wants your custom and the price is the one that he wishes to sell you the horse at.

The Priest, the bookmakers only want to sell the value to people with a proven record of not winning.

Anyone else, they are actively seeking to prevent from transacting with them.

This is understandable, obviously, it's business - market forces will decide how well this policy works, however unfair and discriminatory it might be.

But what the bookmakers shouldn't be able to do is pay the media to be knowingly complicit in presenting them as operating in the absolute opposite manner, in what is little short of institutionalised fraud...

Very important to keep complaining, imho.

Indeed it is.

OK, so the spineless chimps in charge at ATR, RUK & C4, along with the majority of their ignorant presenters & pundits, choose to dance to the Bookmakers' tune, fearing the loss of their "pay off" in keeping schtum about what is becoming commonplace in the secretive world of the high st bookmaker.

The closing/restricting of accounts is not a new tactic by the Bookmakers, it's gone on for years. But the speed by which new accounts are now targeted and closed has reached ridiculous levels.

Should we all choose to bury our heads in the sand and just accept the Bookies have it all wrapped up?

Or, should we keep banging on in the hope that, one day, someone in the media with some clout, will expose this SHAM for what it is?

that's right saddo of course it is
the over-round state is not really sought by bookmakers - the prices offered have to represent over-round and obviously can be tweaked according to demand

but to turn business away ????

another contender for worst bookies ever: WINNER.COM. every single time i try to put a bet on, it will only match a really small amount. i bet on the golf, have done for years and only very occasionally had this with any other bookies, but literally every single time i've tried to place a bet with WINNER.COM this has happened. i don't even bet large amounts. i just tried to put £6 on richard sterne and they would only match £1.40, which is typical. and they don't even have great odds!

As to off course books not turning business away I asked for a 500/57.50 EW a horse at Exeter a couple of weeks ago and was limited to 50EW at the price of 17/2 ie no fractions.

After the machine had been consulted of course
