Didn't he win the gold cup last year?
By:
I'd have chosen young Cooper for him.

I do get the feeling that people will be thinking why not have Cooper on it if McCoy mesess up

jumped immaculately at the Festival last year, only in the Lexus did he clout a fence or two and he was held up which did not suit at all and Davy Russell said as much after so basically you are guessing as to how he will jump
I do agree about the jockey though, liability for me never won me a decent sum and I need him here for a massive bet specially if At Fishers wins, got loads of multiples running on to both watching through spread fingers and plenty of lays in place |

You've had a good meeting judorick? I need to catch up with your trends thread.

McCoy won on a dour stayer last year in a poor old cup...McCoy is a great jockey but for me on horses that need a good push and shove...
By:
For what it's worth I don't think the horse will win

lay the fav ,luck has finally run out for the mighty one

Timmy Murphy would have been my choice -best long distance chase jock out there.
Would have SDC in a lovely flowing rhythm saving energy for the hill....whether the horse is good enough to win or not. |
By:
SDC has made mistakes in every race this year. He has run to a level that would mean he was unplaced in the Gold Cup in every race this year. You'll say it now because you want an excuse to kick McCoy and claim he caused something that was going to happen anyway. If he wins on this, that will be on of his best ever rides. It should be 16-1.

McCoy fell off Denman remember.
By:
Right. And you think, what, SDC will have ready about that and be so nervous he'll start making mistakes? Or even more mistakes I mean.

Sorry, did he win?

No denathon, he didn't. But he jumped the best he has all season, and ran by far the best race of his life. If you can't see that, and have the grace to say you were wrong, you have no business being in a discussion forum. There's no shame in being wrong sometimes, we all are, it's the nature of the game that there are always conflicting opinions and they can't all be right. There's plenty of shame in being unable to admit it.
If you actually, genuinely, hand on heart, believe the horse lost because McCoy gave it a bad ride, then you should never have another bet in your life, because you don't understand anything about the sport at all. |
