Contrast his desperation with the professionalism of Bryan Cooper. Like the leader of a pride of lions who is trying to cling on.
Can't wait for Bryan to oust him in the coming years.

What ridiculousness we see daily on here, Champion Jockey takes ride on fancied Gold Cup horse, who wouldn't?

Desperate.

66/1 rag vs a 7/2 second fav, and clearly Willie and O'Leary wanted AP.

Can't blame him for taking the ride.

Or just driven to succeed? Maybe a few of the whingers on here could take a lesson from McCoy on putting some actual effort into his life?

Nobody would blame him for taking the ride but its the circumstances that surrounds it that leaves a rather pungent smell.

Dan Sunnyhillboy was as short as 16/1 with Billies.

Is he really that loyal to Jonjo / JP?? Loyal to himself. Sad. Always poor McCoy...listen to him...always down on himself.

Joey K, without doubt he has, they (Jonjo and JP) will have taken this decision not him, magnificent gesture to give him a chance of winning the Gold Cup.

McCoy can't win can he, if he was brash and bold you would say he was big-headed.

If you don't appreciate his talent then I doubt you get much satisfaction from this sport at all.

I suppose Piggott was desperate as well when he stole other jockeys rides?.

Talent - sure do.
Satisfaction - no issue of yours.
Entitled to my opinion as are you.
Many will be unhappy at the circumstances of this.
Gesture - what gesture... The horse scoped badly!

Low enough to do that in the biggest race sums it up.

Surprised no-one has considered the punters here. May not be many of them but its a disgrace for anyone who backed Sunnyhillboy ante post

cooper must have known he wasnt getting the ride, else he would have have got the call after the last race yesterday....

Agree joey if Davy was available Sunnyhillboy would still be in the race and thats a fact.

What's the official reason for Sunnyhillboy not running?

They've done ante post punters a favour as Sunnhhillbiy backers will get money back as it was declared

Sunnyhill Boy had no chance. Of course Mccoy should switch. Crazy that anyone would think otherwise. A good gesture from Jonjo and JP to go along with it but for Sunnyhill it would have just been a warm up for the national.

Why is Lester not a good comparison?.

McCoy is the greatest national hunt jockey ever in terms of winners.

I am not actually his biggest fan, but anyone would have done the same thing in his position.

phuck, i would rather have Timmy Murphy on board Sir De Champes Wink

I didn't know that was the case Baracouda. Still don't agree with it though and I'm a huge McCoy fan

Lack of morals. Not the 'right' thing. Similar to some Lester events.

So,Joey, having been asked to ride the horse should Mc Coy have said 'no thanks'?
Why would any jockey refuse the ride?

I didn't know that was the case Baracouda. Still don't agree with it though and I'm a huge McCoy fan THAT IS NOT THE CASE ANTE POST IS ALL IN RUN OR NOT ENTERED OR NOT DOSENT MATTER IT WAS DECLARED ITS A N/R BUT THINK A LOT OF FREE ADVERTISING WILL BE USED HERE WITH GOODWILL FROM BOOKIES

Horse must be odds on to fall with McCoy on his back - Bobs Worth is now a triple maximum.
By:
baracoudafan
When: 15 Mar 13 10:46
I don't agree with it either Nutkins but you can see why McCoy's not going to turn it down. I just think it leaves a bad taste in the mouth for racing's image

Apologies, my bad regarding ante post. I thought if they were declared overnight and then pulled would be deemed a non runner and bets refunded. #idiot
