If i place an ante post bet on the champion chase today say for example on sanctuaire @16s the place terms today are 1/4 or 1/5th 123 at hills and ladcrooks. What is the ruling if only 5 horses run on the day? I was convinced i would still get my 3 place terms as the bet is ante post but after major confusion with the staff and ringing up customer services both firms say i would only get the place terms as on the day (4 runners win only 5,6,7 runners each way 1,2????? What do we all reckon??ConfusedLaugh

ante post   - terms on day of bet   = 3 places

If the bet is NRNB it isn't a normal ante post bet so wouldn't be surprised if the ew terms revert to day of race terms. Probably varies from bookmaker to bookmaker.

Here's the relevant bit from Skybet's site:-

5.) Ante Post bets are settled at the price and place terms applicable at the time of acceptance. Should a wrong price or place terms be taken in error we reserve the right to settle the bet at the correct price/place terms that were available at the time the bet was struck.

Not all firms are as clear, and imo, that's scam-like - they're hoping that you don't cotton on, or stick to your guns when you question it.
