Betting in 18, out of 21 races .... from a simple 'Punting just to back a winner philosophy'.No chance of long-term SURVIVAL - let alone ANY Profit.
Rubbish. The whole point of punting is backing at value. Nothing at all to say you can't back something in every race and make a profit.
I backed the favourite in every race for 18 months and turned 3 grand into 32 grand. No form study. In fact I haven't done form study in the 8 years I have been betting here.
Simple case of looking at where the money is, what the odds are across the boards, and backing the best odds you can get when you find something out of place.
Fav on the tote since the beginning has returned 90% straight out. Back at 15+% better odds than tote and you win. Simple fact. Long shots closer to 60% return, so you need to back at double the odds, and you still win.
More ways to win at this game than studying the form. Sure people can make it pay, but so can number crunchers.

Come on mate, you must know it isn't the profit, it is the % return and the likelihood of keeping it with raising stakes.
But of course, with gambling, you can't base anything on a days profits, or a weeks, or even 6 months. You can have a 20% positive expectation strategy that will still lose money after 6 months, but in the long term you will profit. This game is about knowing your **** for the most part, but money management is by far the most important thing in betting.
Just have a look at professional poker players. These guys that are happy to run around buying in for a million dollar cash games. They go 1-2 years losing money on a bad run. That is why they "run it twice" or "run it three times", because variance is everything, and it is your ability to overcome that that makes a winner.

You do like to make random statements don't you. Care to elaborate, or you just like to try and take pot shots?
